ZXWR RNC Technical Description

Parameter Specification Value

Location in Network ZXWR RNC is a multi-mode controller. It belongs

to part of the UTRAN. The UTRAN includes one
or more RNS, and one RNS is made up of one
RNC and one or more Node Bs. Each RNS
manages the radio resources of a cell to which
it belongs.
Located between Node B and CN, RNC acts as a
bridge i a radio access network. It is important for
radio access and network optimization.
Figure 2-1 illustrates the relations between the
ZXWR RNC multi-mode controller and other
network elements.
