This manual is intended for:

Chapter Summary
The status management enables users to manage the dynamic data in the system,
including:
l Querying dynamic data: Users can obtain status data of the resources through the
NMS client.
l Monitoring dynamic data: Users can view the real time changes on dynamic data.
l Operating dynamic data: Through the NMS client, users can perform the following
operations on the resources: block/unblock, reset/forcible reset, enable/disable, and
stop/start.
As a multi-aspect and multi-module function, status management involves database
operations, Managed Object (MO) operations, NE-BSC communication, and BSC
operations.
Note:
l The objects of status management are only the ground and radio resources with status
properties. Those without status properties are not shown in the status management
interface.
l During status management, the communication between the BSC and NEs must be
proper.
l Status management operations should not be performed unless absolutely necessary
because they may affect the quality of conversational services.
