I believe that most of us were hoping to see much more
robust sales numbers than we actually saw in August. In a Sold Inventory for August 2010
normal market we generally see a small uptick over the July 77

sales numbers simply because people get back out after the
kids are back in school and the summer vacations are done. 60
It hasn't happened so far. However it may get pushed to 40

September. As I write this it is Labor Day weekend and there 20 4 1 0
were many people out and about here in Asheville. More 0
than normal it seemed. Hopefully everyone is just now taking
that last summer vacation and will be back in the market this
month.
It's obvious that the economy continues to hold this market
at bay but there were encouraging numbers this week for the
month of July in the state of Florida as buyers are getting
back into the market there. This would seem to indicate the Current Inventory for August 2010
leading edge of some normalcy that will hopefully work its 1087
way into the Asheville market in the coming months. The 1200 864
