FOREWORD

Praise and thanksgiving let us pray to the presence ALLAH SWT,which


has provided good physycal and spiritual health, o we can see this beautiful nature
with all its will and stay alive and remain grateful to it. Shallawat and greetings
may still lavishly spill over to our journey of all Habibbana Wanabbiyanna
Muhammad SAW. which has instructed us all so that we remain on the right path
of religious teachings and thousands of beauty in it.

The author here finally felt very grateful for having completed the paper
we gave the title “SUSTAINABLE CITIES AND COMMUNITIES” as a SDG’s
subject task (Sustainable Development Goals). In this paper I try to explain what
the purpose of SDG's in Indonesia is one of its programs.Sustainable Cities and
Communities by providing aspects of understanding citizenship and Pancasila in
it.

The authors are very grateful to all those who have helped in making this
paper so that the completion of this task in a timely manner. And the author
understands if this paper is certainly far from the word perfection then the
criticism and suggestions we need to improve our future works in the future.

CHAPTER I

PRELIMINARY

A. BACKGROUND

Sustainable development is a process of development of the land,


community, city and other businesses that have the principle of looking forward
means trying to meet the needs of the present and in the future or sustainable.
many factors will be faced in achieving development by aligning various
environmental issues related to degradation-degradation issues that will be the
trigger factor or obstacle in the development process.

If distinguished between the land area and the coastal areas near the coast
will be a lot of degredation that occurs because it relates to community activities
on strategic issues in the development of coastal areas. The rapid development of
urban areas in coastal areas and increasingly the increasing rate of population
growth directly implicates on land needs. But pressure from nature can have a
negative impact to potential land allocations in meeting increasing land needs
increased

B. Formulation of the problem

Explaining the laws of the republic of Indonesia about the progress of the city,
spatial arrangement and the layout of the region.

1. How to apply the values of Pancasila to the process of sustainable


development of cities and communities?
2. what are the achievements of sustainable urban and community
development goals or targets?
3. what components should be realized by Indonesia to become a city with a
benchmark labeled smart and sustainable city?
C. The Aim
1. Making civilized cities and people in accordance with legislation in the
process.
2. Sustuinable making Indonesia a country that upholds pancasila and noble
tradition.
3. Produce achievements on targets prepared in the process of sustainable
development.
4. Making the country of Indonesia into a country that has a healthy society
and a smart city on the realization of the results of the development
process

CHAPTER II

A. laws on sustainable urban and community development

Goal of sustainable urban and community development is one of the goals


sdg's that must be completed tujuany in the year 2030, as a form of preservation,
progress and make Indonesia a developed country and can be comparable with
other countries. to realize a country that must be developed certainly must be
created clean cities safe, peaceful, orderly and healthy then in the law of the
Republic of Indonesia country number 26 of 2007 on spatial arrangement.

That the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia which is an
archipelago country characterized archipelago, well as a unity container which
includes land space, sea space, and air space, including space in the earth, as well
as As a resource, efforts need to be improved its management is wise, efficient,
and successful use in accordance with the rules of spatial arrangement so the
quality of space national territory can be maintained its sustainability for the sake
of the realization of common prosperity and social justice in accordance with the
constitutional foundation Of the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia Year
1945.

In this law explains the placement and laying structure of the spatial structure
to create a safe, healthy and quality city condition. With the implementation of
spatial planning based on disaster mitigation as an effort to improve safety and
comfort life and livelihood of the people .

B. The Application of the principles of Sustainable Urban and Community
Development

The development of Pancasila-based region is an effort to realize a strong and


stable growth area of a more equitable development and to provide sustainable
societal welfare so as to achieve optimal development not only in the present but
also for the foreseeable future.

➢ Sila the first "divinity of the omaha" the meaning is the development of the
region or the achievement of a sustainable is a god's grace that religion is
the basic foundation of sustaiable meaning of the meaning of the region
not only about the earth but also about the sky respect each other and work
together even though different religions or his god.
➢ The second principle of "just and civilized humanity" has the highest
relevance to the purpose of equity and welfare development prioritizing
equality and responsibility without any discrimination or distinction in any
region of Maluku, Papua, West Java and other regions we are all the same,
as citizens Indonesia is entitled to the same treatment.
➢ The third principle of "unity of Indonesia" becomes the ethos and builder
of spirit in the development of the region means that in the development of
the region must be based on the spirit of unity, unity and the interests of
the nation and state's safety, connectivity and integration of the area that is
built, increase the sense of pride and defecation and provide positive
energy against the development process
➢ The fourth precept "the people who are led by the wisdom of wisdom and
representation" is the most important part in the development process that
the regional leader must always lead his area wisely and full of reverence
and regional leaders should be wiser in the process of planning decision
➢ The fifth precept is "justice for the Indonesian people" is a common goal
in the development of the region and everything will be realized properly
if social justice has been able to be felt by all communities and all regions
of the country

C. The Existence of Sdg's One of The Goals of City Development and
Sustainable Society
1. Increasing the equity of urban development as well as the corresponding
city-village relationship its function in the National Urban System.
2. Developing infrastructure and facilities within meet the Urban Service
Standards (SPP) Build a decent, safe and decent city dwelling comfortable,
environment-based, social and cultural which are diverse.
3. Controlling the space and development activities city, by maintaining the
carrying capacity and power environmental capacity.
4. Building economic activities and urban communities are productive,
creative and innovative, efficient and IT-based.
5. The realization of governance and institutions government that is
transparent, accountable, participatory, and professionals.

D. Component smart city in Indonesia, towards Sustainable City


1. Smart Enviroment
• Management of IT-based environment
• IT based resource management
• Development of renewable energy sources

2. Smart living
• Ease of access to education services, enabling easy access to
quality and affordable education
• Ease of access to health services, allowing all communities to
get the best and optimal health services
• Development of the role of media, the media as a way to
facilitate information services
• Ease of access to security guarantees, enhancing secure city
guarantees for the security of the more protected peoples

• Educational and technological development of human resources
• Research support

CONCLUSION

From the above discussion can be summed up as follows:

1. That the state of Indonesia must realize its achievement in


one of the goals of SDG's is to make cities across the
archipelago into cities that are smart, safe, healthy and
quality

2. Making communities positive and critical thinking about


sustainable urban development process making Indonesia
with high-based cities in regional equity and nature
conservation around urban areas

3. The existence of a relationship between the community and


the city means that the public must be aware of the interests
of the city and the community should be a supporting
component in sustainable urban development
