Sofitel’s $30M
Refurbishment
By ANA SOVA
$30 million is planned to be in-
jected into the refurbishment of the
Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa on De-
narau Island in Nadi.
Resort general manager Vincent
Macquet said this would be the first
upgrade done on the five-star resort
since it opened in 2005.
Macquet said over the next 12
months they will be extensively ren-
ovating the hotel.
“All our food and beverage will
have unique concepts, never seen
in Fiji to date, so something fresh,
something for people to talk about,”
Macquet said.
He adds the rooms and lobby are
going to be entirely renovated as
well.
The refurbishment will also in-
