NW Stack

Layer 4: User Presentation

Layer 3: Info Layer
Layer 2: Info Exchange
Layer 1: App Platform

6. T-code is RSA1.

CUBE-aggregated data at data migration layer

<-(transformation)-
DSO-detailed data at EDW layer (data source object)
<-(transformation)-
Info source-optional (non-storage) – has currency conversion – mostly data cleansing
<-(transformation)-
DS/PSA*BW layer-----mirror to SAP ECC
ECC layer (data from GL table, SD transaction etc.)

7. Uses either ETL or Informatica as extractors.

8. Info providers:
- Info cube -> Multidimensional data structure, aggregator, view, slice & dice reporting
- DSO objects -> flat table Physical (detailed view)
- Master Data Info objects
- Info sets (slower)
o Join – Equi Join & Left outer join Logical
- Multi providers – Union (faster)
9. Types of info cubes: standard (load ONLY-from ECC), transactional cube (loading & planning-
mainly BPC).
10. Types of DSO objects: standard (mostly used), transactional and write-optimized.
11. Master Data info objects: - have attributes, texts and hierarchy.
12. Logical is a combination of more info providers: info cubes, DSO and info objects.
