Universal Design for Learning (UDL): I could use the UDL for Learning and implantation of the lesson. The
tool I would really like to use is the smart table that multiple students can stand at and participate. It is
touch screen and everyone has to work together on tasks.

Lesson idea implementation:
Students will all be in groups gathered around the smart tables looking at different nutrition games and
activities. Teachers will be facilitating the areas and making sure students stay on task with the proper games
and activities that relate to nutrition. How will the project be introduced? The project will be introduced with
a big presentation on the foods we eat, how they affect us and more. This will get their attention with
questions and seeing results of real life examples of specific diets and all. This lesson will take approximately
45 minutes in length.
The students learning will be assessed at the very last five minutes of class with a five-question quiz on
their way out. The final product will show practical ways the students took in information and applied it
themselves. I can extend the learning level by continuing this lesson into other days and by making the
nutrition more and more detailed into the specifics of food groups, caloric intake and more. I plan to conclude
the lesson with a quiz to finish that way they have an overview to begin with for the next class. The way I will
provide feedback is to walk throughout the class and be critical as I go along with assessing their quizzes.

Reflective Practice: These activities will impact student learning by simply giving them a chance to see it all for
themselves. When they not only hear it all taught, they will then get to practice it first hand with their
classmates. I could build upon this as said before giving the students opportunities to present information they
had learned and gone into more detail. I would probably let them use more technology but for the most part
keep it to what they research on their own.
