RULES
· All boats must meet IL Coast Guard regulations.
· Fish will be measured with the mouth closed and tail pinched.
· Fish must be caught by cast and retrieve. NO TROLLING.
· Only artificial baits may be used.
· All fish will be released to the lake, excluding trophy fish of 7 lbs or larger.
· All boats must have a working live-well. Coolers with aerators are acceptable.
· For each dead fish weigh-in, 1 pound will be deducted—Big Bass included.
· Three dead fish equal disqualification.
· Any unsportsmanlike like conduct will result in disqualification.
· This fish-off is mostly intended for fun. Use common sense while on the lake.
· No fishing inside the no-wake area at the Carbondale boat ramp. Unless otherwise
stated the day of fish-off.

· Largemouth Bass only
· Creel limit of 6 fish. (e.g. 4 under 14” and 2 over 18” or 6 under 14”, each boat
may only weigh in 2 fish over 18”)
· Registration/check-in will begin at 5:30am.
· Live well check will be at dock before take off.
· Fishing hours end at 2:00pm all boats must be checked in at this time.
· Weigh-in will begin at 2:20pm
· A bump board is suggested to measure the fish’s length. No fish in the slot limit
will be weighed.

This tournament was started to remember a young man who would have spent a large portion of his time
fishing for that big bass. He was the son of Mark Wilson (Retired Carbondale Police Officer) and Marianne
Wilson and twin brother to Max Wilson. Sam spent a lot of time at the SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s
Medical Center hoping for a cure.
