several major new redevelopment projects such as the Ti-
tanic Quarter have been started. Belfast has also become
the natural gateway for foreign visitors to Northern Ireland
and there is an increasing number of direct flights from

IH Belfast is located in University Street, which, as the

four floors the school has twelve spacious classrooms as
well as a study room with computers for students use; a

The Centre
Our annexe is now in the village of Sannat. International
House Gozo now offers ‘colonial luxury holiday homes’
as premises where clients are sent a tutor and courses
are conducted in the comfort of these homes. Company
personnel who travel together in small groups willingly
find time to indulge in a full immersion course under such
agreeable conditions. Also, families find it innovative and
comfortable to combine a holiday on an idyllic island with

of Cairo, central, in easy reach and quiet. Cairo, which

north to south, the largest metropolis in Africa. Travel-
lers through the ages have been both fascinated and
repelled by Cairo. On its east side stands the evidence
of 2000 years of Islamic, Christian Coptic, and Jewish

Ancient Egyptian city of Memphis (Giza), the renowned

THE SCHOOL
The ILI Arabic Language Institute was established in
1975. Over the years we have handled a huge range
of students: individuals, company groups, archaeolo-

Although we open courses every 4 - 5 weeks, you can
take as many as you wish. You will join group courses
from beginner’s to advanced levels. Special courses,

available. ILI is able to design courses to meet the

CIC. School facilities include 11 bright classrooms,
all fully equipped with satellite, video and audio

Located in the centre of the country at an altitude of
approximately 2,600 metres, Bogota enjoys an almost
perfect climate with average temperatures varying from
9 to 23 degrees centigrade. The city has a population of
around 8 million and is divided into a number of different
areas including the historic centre ‘La Candelaria’, the
downtown business district and several modern and
prosperous suburbs. There are too many things to do
and see in the city to list here but among the highlights
are the colonial style buildings of La Candelaria; the
Gold Museum with its unique collection of pre-Colombi-
an gold work; the view from the Monastery of Monser-
rate which overlooks the city and the Botanic gardens
which is like a miniature national park.

Half an hour to the north, In-Bio Park offers a tropical forest

Valencia has plenty to offer. It is a city brimming with cul-
ture, history, and an abundance of leisure activities. The
city centre has the feeling of a small town with its honey
coloured buildings, cobbled streets, beautiful plazas and
charming neighbourhoods. Still within the city of Valencia
you’ll find long, golden, sandy beaches and a beautiful
promenade lined with restaurants and bars where you

Valladolid has been recognized as the region that
speaks the purest Spanish in the world. But also, history
and culture are inevitable themes within the language
courses and even more so when leaving the school.
Two hours north of Valladolid are the cave paintings of
Altamira, dating back 15,000 years. An hour north, are
the caves of Atapuerca with evidence of being inhab-
ited, as far back as 780,000 years ago, by the first men
in Europe. Within an hour’s distance there are numer-
ous ruins, and monuments still standing, which reflect
the history of the Iberian Peninsula from pre-Roman to
modern times. Over the years, Valladolid has become a
modern and a well-communicated city. Valladolid is the
capital of Castilla - Leon, and for that reason it is open
to industry, new technology and culture.

International House Valladolid is open all year round and
is located in the centre of the city. Plaza Mayor # 3 was
constructed in the latter part of the Nineteenth Century.
All the classrooms are exterior with lots of natural light,
leading from the Plaza Mayor to the well-known Plaza
Corrillo. There are high ceilings and hard-wood floors,
reminiscent of the grandiose residence it once was.
The furniture and resources are all new and everyone

The minimum study period is 2 weeks. Maximum
number of students per class is 10 and minimum age
for the courses is 16. All levels of Spanish are taught

ACCOMMODATION AND SERVICES
The programme of activities and outings will help you
to discover Spanish culture, the friendly attitude of the

ideal complement to a Spanish course and gives you
the chance to practise Spanish in everyday situations,
find out what Spain and its culture are like and get to
know its people. We organize visits to the city, conver-
sation exchanges with Spanish students, barbecues,
