QUALITY CONTROL DEPARTMENT SUMMARY REPORT

Barcel, Dorado, Ventura

Patterns:

 An Ad Hoc Team was created for the patterns: Dorado, Lontoc, Romero
 Inaccuracies were seen especially on the Style 3 (Green Baby Doll Dress) in terms of
measurements and size grading
- Unfortunately, the errors were only seen during the production when one of the sewers
pointed out the inaccuracy of the parts
- The person who did the pattern corrected and double checked the pattern pieces and the
Marking/Spreading/Cutting was put on hold.
 The patternmakers had to adjust the measurements due to some inaccuracies on the spec
sheets.

Fabric:

 The cut was uneven (green fabric)

 The fabric had dirt stains (beige fabric)
 Minor damages were found such as a small hole

The Marking/Spreading/Cutting Team strategized the layout so that the minor defects will not be a part
of the cut parts. (Note: Barcel and Ventura were also part of the M/S/C Team).

Inspection:

Green Baby Doll Dress

This style is the first to be sewn, thus a lot of error had been committed but were also remedied
afterwards.

 The first set of zippers used was of low quality thus a lot of errors have been observed.
- Invisible zipper is exposed on the outside
- The zipper pull broke upon multiple zipper tests
- Uneven zipper teeth

Solution:

A new set of zippers with better quality were bought to replace the old ones.

The persons assigned on the zippers had to repair the ones with defects and replace the zippers.

 The hem was sewn unevenly.

- SPI is smaller than it should be (10 SPI should be applied)
- Skip stitches
- It’s a circular hem and a lot of folds and puckers were seen.
- Due to the ripping of stitches (since the stitches were small) some holes have been
created.

Solution:

The persons assigned to sew the hem had to re-do it and avoid the errors occurred.

Unfortunately, due to the small SPI, the ripping of stitches caused some noticeable holes on the
garment. The team decided, along with the approval of the other supervisors to cut the hem and sew it
again to hide the holes.

Beige Shift Dress with Blue Pockets

This style is the second one to be sewn and the production improvement is very drastic. The errors
committed were very minor compared to the first style.

 The zippers were still a problem but not as bad as compared to the first style that was sewn.
- Repairs were done by the zipper point person/s.
 The attachment of front and back panel to each of their facings had some puckers especially on
the shoulder part.
- Repairs were done
 The fabric is of light color- Beige; a lot of dirt/stains were seen on the garments
- It was decided that it’ll be washed, as well as the other garment styles altogether
 Pen ink stain didn’t wash off during laundry.
- The QC supervisor researched on how to remove the stain since it’s too obvious (front
panel, center; two garments were affected). The stain was successfully removed by
rubbing it on another fabric of the same color with alcohol.

Mustard Tent Dress

This is the last one to be sewn and the errors were minimal.

 During the photoshoot of the Sales and Marketing team for the pubs they noticed that the
Medium tent dress is too big.
- The patterns were altered by the patternmaker.
 The shoulder parts had puckers and was bulky.
- This operation is actually difficult so we only asked for repairs if the problem is too
obvious or of importance to the overall quality of the garment.
 The zippers still had some problems but very few compared to the first two styles.
- During repairs, one zipper had to be replaced because it broke and there were no more
zippers so someone had to buy it and repair was done on the following day.

Note: The Quality Control Team would like to thank all involved parties with regards to the compliance
and participation on repairs of the garments.
