If you have multiple right triangles the other angles being 25 degrees and 65 degrees, what can you

conclude about the triangles? How do the lengths of the sides relate to the angles?

If you have two right triangles with the other

angles being 25 and 65 degrees, you can conclude
that the triangles are similar. Because you know
that the right triangles have a 90 degree angle and
you were given the other two angles, you can
confirm that both triangles must have the same
shape. In the diagram to the left, there are two
triangles with the same 25, 65, and 90 degree
angles. In the overlap, you can see that both
triangles have the same shape and the purple
triangle is a dilation of the blue triangle. Additionally, the triangles’ side lengths have a scale factor of
approximately 1.4. This proves that triangles with the same angles are similar.

25 opposite/hypotenuse sin(25) 4.7/11 ~.42 cm.

25 adjacent/hypotenuse cos(25) 10/11 ~0.91 cm.

25 opposite/adjacent tan(25) 4.7/10 ~0.47 cm.

65 opposite/hypotenuse sin(65) 10/11 ~0.91 cm.

65 adjacent/hypotenuse cos(65) 4.7/11 ~.42 cm.

65 opposite/adjacent tan(65) 10/4.7 ~2.14 cm.
