Chaminade summer camp offerings
have been developed to give young men
a chance to sample all that the school
has to offer academically, athletically
and artistically. Summer is a wonderful
time for young men and their families
to take time to enjoy one another, their
hobbies, activities, and interests. To that
end, Chaminade put together some fan-
tastic opportunities for young people to
challenge themselves, create, laugh and
enjoy. Chaminade hopes to see campers
on the 55-acre campus this summer par-
ticipating in camps like READ, Basket-
ball Camp, Minecraft Modding, Organi-
zational Boot Camp or one of the many

Spend a summer at COCA Summer
Arts Camps. Campers are provided with
a stimulating and fun-filled experience
taught by professional artists and teach-
ers in a safe, comfortable, arts-learning
environment where campers can truly
enjoy art and the art-making process.
Many of the camps are multidisciplinary
by design and feature multiple teaching
artists. Each Friday, family and friends
are invited to performances and exhi-
bitions spotlighting the work created
throughout the week. Camps run June
4-August 17 for ages 3-18. Financial as-

making, there is a camp for everyone.
The Community Music School of
Webster University offers summer mu-
sic camps for children preschool through
high school including Kindermusik®,
band, flute, string orchestra, composition
and chamber music. CMS also offers in-

Community School camps for 3-year-
olds to eighth graders, include arts, aca-
demics and summer fun on the school’s
beautiful 16-acre campus. Expanded mini
camps include over 40 offerings, with spe-

Camp for the youngest campers and FUN-
damentals to fight the summer slump.
Cor Jesu’s Enrichment and Sports
Camps are for 3rd to 8th grade girls.
New 2018 camps include Geocaching
Adventures, Passport Around the World,
Babysitting 101, Get Up and Dance and
mindfulness. Campers will also enjoy

ing, crafts, media, photography and myri-

Craft Alliance Center of Art +
Design’s Staenberg Summer Camps
for ages 4-18. Half-day camps meet at
the Delmar Loop and Grand Center
locations. Spend the whole day
being creative. Hot glass, pottery wheel,
jewelry making, tech lab, textiles, draw-
ing, artist instructors, Teen Intern
opportunities, financial aid, before and
aftercare.
Imagine a summer camp where campers
eat breakfast in the company of ring-
tailed lemurs, zoom down a zip-line and
kiss a camel before lunch, make pottery
on the wheel in the afternoon, and play a
camp-wide game of Capture the Flag af-
ter dinner. Cub Creek Science Camp
is that camp. With over 300 animals, a
six-element ropes course, and activi-
ties in arts and crafts, archery, photog-
raphy, chemistry, and more, this is a
truly unique summer camp. Facilities
are air-conditioned, meals are served
buffet style with alternative meal op-
tions available, and accreditation by the

Dance Center of Kirkwood offers sev-
eral summer camps for ages 3 to grade

Come join the fun and get better at ten-
nis this summer at the Dwight Davis
Memorial Tennis Center Nike tennis
camp. Junior full-day and half-day camp
options for boys and girls ages 5-18. All

Faith Academy of Montessori (314-

org) is in a 100-year-old train station. The
director and assistant director have guid-
ed this Montessori program since 1982.
Camp Run-A-Muk is held during the
summer months featuring two-week ses-
sions, each focusing on a different topic.
To help the children fully understand the
topics a related field trip is planned and
guest speakers visit each session. Camp
also includes taking walks, visiting parks,
exploring nature and a weekly swim at
the Webster University pool. Lunch is
picnic style when weather permits. Come
