Activity 2 (Group 1)

Multimedia is an important part of a business environment, both in an office and on the internet.
The office environment applications are often used for training purposes. But why and how is
multimedia used in business on the web?

Task 1

Evaluate three websites that use multimedia for business/advertisement.

Task 2

Develop a report in a form of matrix that compares the sites. Include the following information in
your report:

a. the name of the company, the type of business, and the URL for each site;
b. an example of how each site uses multimedia to enhance its site;
c. an example of how multimedia could be used to further enhance at least of the
sites;
d. an example of how multimedia is used poorly on one of the sites, explain why it is
a poor use;
e. the best site in terms of use of multimedia, explain why its is good.

Note:

1. This activity will be done in pair. You may choose your pair from your classmates. Doing
it without a pair is also accepted.
2. Your output must not be a duplication of other output.
3. Be ready for an output presentation next meeting.
4. Submit a softcopy of your output in Edmodo by clicking the link Turn In.

Activity 2 (Group 2)

Multimedia is constantly in the news as more and more applications, especially those intended
for the web, are developed.

Task 1

Submit a single page review of a magazine or newspaper article that is related to the role
played by multimedia in either of the following fields: Art Industry, Advertisement/Business,
Education, Entertainment, Medicine, and Scientific Research. If you have access to the internet,
you might find an article using your favorite search engine. Include the following information in
your review:

a. name and date of publication;

b. title of article;
c. review of the article in your own words;
d. conclusion: Do you agree with the author’s point of view? why or why not?.

Task 2

Be ready to share your report orally.

Note:

1. This activity will be done in pair. You may choose your pair from your classmates. Doing
it without a pair is also accepted.
