INTRODUCTION
The KIT VIDEOCHALET CITYMAX is an advanced Video Door Entry professional
system to be installed in bungalows or small residential complexes. It is basically
made up of an Outdoor Panel, which is installed outside the house, and a Mo-
nitor, installed inside. Moreover, the corresponding Power Supply must be
installed in an inner place.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTES:

The Outdoor Panel is protected against humidity

and atmosferical agents. In adverse conditions with
permanently hard rain or salty environment, it is
recommended to install the Panel with a hood or under
shelter. Strong light coming straight into the camera
(against the light) will produce contrast and/or
brightness losses.

To install the Monitor, choose a hard and flat

surface, far away from direct heat sources (radiators,
heaters, ...) or very smoky environments (kitchens,
etc.). We advise to install the Monitor in a place where
the call could be heard all inside the house.

The Power Supply should be installed on a hard

and flat surface, as inside the buiding as in the lobby,
etc... but always in inner places. It can be installed in
a DIN box for electric switches.

Before installing the KIT VIDEOCHALET CITYMAX,

install the cables needed to Monitor (or monitors),
Outdoor Panel and Power Supply, following the
installation diagram.

Camera Test Connector detail
The test connector included in the CityMax camera is used for testing that
both camera and Monitor are working correctly. Once the Monitor is plugged
into this connector the screen will be activated automatically.

MONITOR INSTALLATION
The CityMax monitors allow a quick and easy installation, without neccesity
of doing any kind of building-work. Do not remove the screen protection film until
the Monitor is completely installed.

Follow the recommendations shown in this chapter to install the Outdoor
Panel correctly. Do not forget to remove the protective plastic film in the front of
the camera once the installation is finished.

POWER SUPPLY INSTALLATION
Finally, the Power Supply must be placed in a place dry and safe from the
weather. Its DIN 10 format allows you to install it in any type box or directly on the
wall by using the wallplugs and screws supplied.

tone is heard from the monitor but also from the outdoor panel.

The screen turns on and led indicator turns off. Call sound is
also heard in any additional equipments in the same house. If
the call is unattended the equipments will automatically turn
off after 90 seconds.

How to add terminals
The standard equipment in each apartment can be extended to a maximum of
2 telephones or 1 additional monitor, without adding power supplies. For
installations in 2 flats (KIT CIDEOCHALET CITYMAX 2/L) a secondary
Monitor may be added in one of them as well.

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
Some typical problems may be easily solved if you follow closely this chapter
and you do the tests shown in the following steps.

The image does not appear in the Monitor

1. Check that the Monitor is switched on (on/off switch).

2. Check that the power supply is correctly connected, and the voltage is 18
Vdc between terminals "+" and "-".
3. Verify that there is no short between "V" and "M" in the coaxial cable.
4. When a call has been performed, the voltage between terminal "-" and "CT"
must be 10 Vdc or higher.
There is no speech to the Outdoor Panel, but there is to the Monitor

1. Check that terminal "1" connection (the electric lock cannot be released).
2. Check the connection of terminal "2".
3. Verify that there is no shortcut between wires "1" and "2".
4. Check that there is no shortcut between terminals "1" and "3" (the electric
lock will be continuously released).
There is no speech to the Monitor, but there is to the Outdoor Panel

1. Check that terminal "6" is correctly connected.

2. Check the connection of terminal "3" (the door release function and the call
tone will not be operative).
3. Verify that there is no shortcut between wires "3" and "6".
No call tone

1. Check that terminal "4" connection is correctly connected.

2. Check the connection of terminal "3" (there is no speech from Panel to
Monitor).
