Greetings from Mykonos, Greece. We are staying at a hotel near the sea called Mykonos Village. We are having a fantastic time! The weather is just perfect. The sky is always blue. The sun is always shining. I love the hotel. I've got a huge room with a TV and a big bathroom. The hotel has got 2 enormous swimming pools- one just for kids. I sunbathe every morning for half and hour. Right now Mom and bad are reading books. Tomorrow we are going to visit the special island of Delos that is opposite Mykonos. We are going to take a little boat there. I can't wait to see the lions and the other ancient things. We are all having lots of fun. I hope you are having fun too. See you in a week.

The Rio-Andirio Bridge is absolutely spectacular. It was designed by Berdj Mikaelian and built
by French and Greek companies and is almost 3 kilometers long. It is the world's longest multi-
span cable-stayed bridge_and crosses the Gulf of Corinth near Patras. It links the towns of Rio
on the Peloponnese to Andirio on mainland Greece.
The real name of the bridge is Charilaos Trikoupis. When Charilaos Trikoupis was Prime
Minister- over 120 years ago- he was the first person to think up the idea for the bridge.
However it was too expensive to construct then.
Before the bridge was erected you had to take a ferry to make the journey. The bridge has got
two lanes in both directions and there is a pedestrian walkway. Experts consider the bridge an
engineering masterpiece. It was an extremely difficult site to span. The water is very deep and
there is always a danger of earthquakes.
The bridge was opened in 2004 and the first people to cross the bridge were Olympic torch

Plot: Rio is a 3b cartoon movie that takes place in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro. The
movie tells the story of a blue macaw that was smuggled out of Brazil. When his crate fell off a
truck in America, he was rescued by Linda who named him Blu. Blu never learned to fly because
he was raised by a human and so the other birds make fun of him. Years later an ornithologist
invites Linda and Blu to visit Rio de Janeiro with him in the hopes of finding Blu a mate and
helping him to learn to fly. There he meets Jewel another macaw and falls in love. There are
many adventures including being captured by a group of smugglers.
Characters Blu -a boy macaw who can't fly. He is shy and clumsy but very clever too.
Jewel- a girl macaw who wants to escape the rainforest.
Nigel - a cockatoo that is very mean and hates exotic birds like macaws

Opinion „11 This movie was very entertaining. We learn about bird smuggling and how cruel it is. I liked the
fact that this movie mixes cartoon characters and cartoon people. The bird cartoon characters
are colorful and very amusing. The human characters are both good and bad. It is fun to see a
movie that takes place in such a beautiful city as Rio de Janeiro. And the music is absolutely
fabulous- it's mostly Brazilian and very cool.
