TIPS FOR SACS:
Structure
 SACs will be in the form of structured questions and will conducted under full test conditions

 The structured questions will be written in a question and answer booklet i.e. you will be writing your
responses in the booklet

 The questions will be between 1 and 10 marks, with a maximum of one 10-mark question per SAC

 You will have reading time at the start, prior to the commencement of writing time

 This will mirror the conditions of the end of year examination

Important tips
 Questions worth 6 marks or more should be written in paragraph form

 Make one point per paragraph – the examiners mark papers very quickly and this makes it easier for
them to find marks

 You must use TEEAL when structuring paragraphs (see below)

 The amount you write must be guided by the number of marks allocated to the question

 If you fill the space allotted for an answer, you must clearly label that it’s continued in the extra space at
the end of the paper

 For example, “continued in extra space” then, in the extra space write “question 9 continued”
