My Hobby

Introduction - Hobby is a particular and most interesting habit than other habit of any person.
Hobby is a good thing which must be with everyone. Hobby is very necessary to be with
everyone because it makes one busy and free mind. It never leaves alone us and prevents from
the psychological problems. I like very much to be with my father in the garden everyday in the
early morning. When I was kid, my father generally laughed at me while seeing watering plants.
But now he becomes so proud of me that I do something to save plants life and understand their
value and importance in the existence of life on the earth.

Importance of Hobbies - Hobbies are our daily lives activities which we must do. It helps us to
get escaped from the daily crush of life. It gives us immense pleasure and peace of body, mind
and soul. It is like yoga and meditation and even benefits more than that. It draws our mind
towards creativity and promote us to do something better in the life. Good hobbies dramatically
improve our personality and character traits as well as improve our performances. It helps in
discovering our talents and abilities and uses them in right direction. Our hobbies make our mind
fresh and peaceful by keeping us away from the daily rush of life.

My favourite hobby - My favourite hobby is gardening and l like so much planting new plants
and watering them in daily morning. The enjoy seeing flowers blooming and plants growing. I
really feel sense of great achievements and realize the fact of life. It helps me keep myself fit,
healthy, strong and rejuvenate. Watering plants and gardening on daily basis is a best exercise
for me which positively moulds my mind and body.

Variations in Hobbies - A hobby is an interest different form occupation or the main business of
life. It is a favorite pursuit. It gives us joy and amusement. Different people have different tastes.
Therefore, there are different kinds of hobbies as well. Some people collect stamps and take
delight in displaying them. Others are fond of collecting coins of various countries and ages.
They keep them as a valuable treasure. Some collects rare specimens of art. Some people may be
interested in photography, painting, music, rearing birds or other pets, sports, there are people
who are mad after money. They earn money. Such people have no heart to indulge in a healthy
hobby.

Conclusion - Hobbies have their own value for an individual. I have my own hobby. I have a
passion for gardening. I always love flowers. I have a small garden of my own. I have planted a
variety of flowers, fruits and vegetable in it. I always spend my leisure in the garden. I water the
plants daily. My hearts dances to see the flowers fruits and vegetables planted by me. They put
forth beautiful flowers. As long as I am in the garden, I forget the realities of life.

Introduction - Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, the magic man of Asia, an apostle of non-
violence and preacher of truth, was born on 2nd October 1869 at Porbandar in Gurjarat. He
belonged to a well to do family. He went to England to study law and became a barrister. Then
he returned to India and began to practice at the Bombay High Court. But he was not much
interested in the lawyer’s profession. He also went to South Africa. There he made efforts to
improve the condition of Indians. He underwent numerous sufferings but remained steadfast in
his convictions.

Characterization of Gandhiji - Mahatma Gandhi was a man of sound and sterling character. In
fact, he was a very noble soul. He wore a very simple dress and ate simple food. He was not
merely a man of words but also of action. What he preached, he practiced. His approach to
various problems was non-violent. He was a god –fearing person; he was the cynosure of all eyes.
He was a friend to all and enemy of none. He was universally loved and liked.

Gandhiji as country man - After returning from South Africa, Ghandhiji jumped into the Indian
politics. He could not bear the miserable Plight of the Indian masses suffering and starving under
the British rule. Mahatma Gandhi sacrificed everything to uproot the British from the Indiana
soil. Freedom was the breath of Gandhiji’s life. In 1919, he started a non-violent and peaceful
movement. Hindu – Muslim unity, removal of un touch ability and use of Swadeshi goods were
his lifelong missions.

Conclusion - The part played by Mahatma Gandhi on the stage of Indian politics is unforgettable.
In those stormy days of the struggle for Indian independence, Gandhiji suffered and was
imprisoned several times, but the freedom of the motherland remained his cherished goal. He
guided the freedom fighters, launched the ‘Quit Indian movement’ and was imprisoned again.
But by the time he had got succeeded in his effort and India had become free on 15 th august 1947.
And in 1948 on the day of 30th January he has been shot by Nathuram Godse. He leaves us by
gifting a free country.
