HOUSTON, TX – Lt. Governor Dan Patrick announced today that he has been
endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB)/Texas. In
making the endorsement, Will Newton, NFIB/Texas Executive Director, said:

“Lt. Governor Patrick realizes the economic importance of the small business
community in Texas. By making key issues like property tax reform and ending
government favoritism of labor unions a priority during his term, he has proven his
commitment to preserve the small business landscape in Texas, which helps to
employ over four million workers in this great state.”

“I am very proud to earn the endorsement of the National Federation of
Independent Business (NFIB)/Texas. Small business is the backbone of the Texas
economy and I appreciate the support of their hard-working members,” said Lt.
Governor Dan Patrick.

NFIB is the leading advocate for small business owners, with offices in Washington,
D.C., and every state capital. Their mission is to defend the right of small business
owners to run their businesses without undue government interference and to
