TRADE ROUTES

Perlemian Trade Route

The Perlemian Trade Route was a vital trade super-hyperroute that ran through the galaxy. Along with the Corellian Run, it was one of
the two routes that made up the border of The Slice. It was founded c. 25,000 BBY, linking the young Galactic Republic with Ossus.
The forces of the Republic and of the Tion Hegemony used the route extensively in their conflict of the Tionese War. The Perlemia
system, located in the Core Worlds, was the likely source for the trade route's name.

It began at Coruscant and passed the worlds of Anaxes, Corulag,Brentaal IV, Carida, Nak Shimor, Taanab, Kulthis, Rhen
Var, Sorjus,Vaynai, Makem Te, Ter Abbes, and terminated just past Quermia. It also passed the Roche Asteroids, The Wheel, and
the Cron Drift.

The Route first connected Coruscant to Ossus, and Coruscanti reunited with the Jedi, the ascetic warriors who left the Corecenturies
ago and remained but a myth until then. The Route contributed to the growth of the Republic since civilizations and colonies sued for
protection from the Tionese and Hutt Space. One unfortunate consequence of the discovery of routes such as the Perlemian Trade
Route and their increased use was the increased obsolescence of large hyperspace hubs throughout the Mid and Outer Rims, and the
accompanying impact such loss of commerce would have upon nearby systems.

Perhaps the most infamous example of this (to date) was the decline of the planet Taris after the Perlemian's increased use a couple of
decades after the Great Sith War. With an increasing amount of traffic getting diverted to the hyperlane, Taris soon began a steep slide
into decay, which would last until the planet's destruction by theSith in the year 3,956 BBY.

With the Corellian Run, it formed The Slice region of the Galaxy which was explored and populated easier and faster than other parts.
Further expansion of the Route led it up to the Wild Space.

Cardan-class space stations were present at the crossroads between the Perlemian Trade Route and the Hydian Way.
The Hydian Way
The Hydian Way (pronounced /hʌi-diː-yæn/) was a super-hyperroute that began at the Corporate Sector on one side of the galaxy and
continued through the core to the other side, past Eriadu. It was the only route that passed through the entire galaxy. The Hydian Way
was blazed around 3,700 BBY, by famed Brentaal IVnative Freia Kallea, and helped open up much of the galaxy beyond the region
known as The Slice, fundamentally altering the scale of galactic civilization. The route was named in honor of Durosscout, and later
Kallea's colleague, Banu Hydia.

Astrography

Beginning at the Outer Rim world of Bonadan, the Hydian Way led past Bandomeer and Taris to Bogden in the Inner Rim. Just after
intersection with the Perlemian Trade Route at Brentaal, one of theCore Worlds, the Corellian Run was connected near Caamas. The
Hydian Way then went by Alderaan and Rendili, to cross the Corellian Run again, this time at Inner Rim world Denon. It continued
near Derra IV in the Expansion Region and Malastare in the Mid Rim, crossing Rimma Trade Route at Eriadu, and ended in the Outer
Rim, close to Polis Massa and Subterrel.

History

In 3,705 BBY, Freia Kallea made the first pushes into space with her scoutship, Hope, funded with the help of her secret lover Sival
Brentioch. She accepted the commission that was described "as far as Farana", creating a path through the Crombach Nebula, as well
as discovering a reliable route between the worlds of Serenno and Telos IV, finishing the next year in 3,704 BBY. Her actions
forcedNeimoidian scouts Thoax and Farge Osaax to hire Duros Banu Hydiato eliminate her, but he refused, instead discussing her
plans to expand rimward south of Denon. Hydia's warnings about the treacherous Tyus Cluster and the dangerous Itani Nebula were
ignored, however, she continued to make news across the galaxy by charting an extension of the new route from Denon to Demos
Fourfrom 3,703 BBY to 3,702 BBY.

Upon reaching Malastare, Kallea was arrested by thugs of Thoax and Farge and was subsequently freed by Hydia. She later returned
to Malastare determined to complete her route, however, her scoutship was crippled by the Neimoidians, forcing her to crash land on
the nearby world of Nuvar. With Kallea out of the way, the Neimoidians charted the Seswenna Expansion for themselves, from 3,701
BBY to3,699 BBY, reaching the Rimma Trade Route south of Eriadu. Kallea remained on Nuvar for six standard years until she was
finally located by Hydia in 3,694 BBY. After returning to civilization, she reengaged in scouting to finish her work, requesting that
Hydia join her on the last leg of their journey, to which he accepted. Kallea and Hydia pushed through the dust clouds of the Tosste
system and came across the hub of Terminus. There would be one last push that would finalize their route, the Hydian Spur, with a
trap set up on the world of treasure-rich planet of Imynusoph to capture the Neimoidians. After a battle with the Neimoidians'
henchmen, the opposition was arrested by the local Imyni; however, Hydia became mortally wounded and died. In his honor, Freia
Kallea named her route the Hydian Way.

Existing hyperspace routes that were sown together by Kallea into the Hydian Way included the Morellian Trail, the Spurs of
Celanon, the Sprizen End Run, the Mandalorian Road, the Corsin Run, theBrentaal-Denon Route, and the Dustig Trace. The Dustig
Trace was absorbed into the Hydian Way in 3,693 BBY, bolstering Malastare into a trading hub. Some historians argued that her
discovery was merely an extension of what had already been established, but many scouts continued to admire her accomplishments.

In 3,661 BBY (7 BTC),Mandalorian cruisers seized control of the Hydian Way and set up a blockade, choking the Republic and
placing it in an economic crisis. A Mirialan named Hylo Visz saw this as an opportunity for profit and gathered together several
smugglers for an assault on the Mandalorians. She commanded a fleet of ships to stop one parsec outside of the blockade, and while
the Mandalorians were distracted, her fleet jumped out of hyperspace to attack. Initially they were outnumbered but the Republic
caught word of the assault and sent reinforcements. This extra push by the Republic was enough to break up the Mandalorian
blockade, effectively freeing the galaxy from starvation and civil war. Visz was considered a hero of the Republic, but was nowhere to
be seen upon her medal ceremony.

Over the centuries, Eriadu Way, originally a separate hyperlane, eventually became considered part of the Hydian Way. In addition, as
the galaxy rotated, some sections of the original Hydian Way had shifted.

Twenty-two hundred years after the charting of the Hydian Way, the events that created it were documented in
theBrentaalan opera The Kallea Cycle.

Cardan-class space stations were present at the crossroads between the Perlemian Trade Route and the Hydian Way.

The Corellian Run

The Corellian Run was one of the largest hyperspace routes running through the galaxy, mapped between 25,000 BBY and 24,000
BBY. It contributed in making Corellia an economic superpower. Corelliansheld substantial power in the sectors around it.
When the Kyyr system supernova obsoleted the Ootmian Pabol in4,000 BBY, the spaceports along the Run overshadowed Nal Hutta,
which thrived up until then.

With the Perlemian Trade Route, it formed The Slice region of the Galaxy which was explored and populated easier and faster than
other parts.

Course

It began at Coruscant, going around the Deep Core while passing through Ixtlar, Wukkar, Kailor V, Xorth, Vuma, Leria
Kerlsil, Perma,Lolnar, Rehemsa, Sedratis and Rydonni Prime, to reach Corellia, where the Corellian Trade Spine branched off. From
Corellia, it proceeded to Tinnel IV, its final stop in the Core Worlds before it traversed the other major regions of the galaxy.

In the Colonies it passed through Loronar, Byblos, Pencael IV and Havricus.

In the Inner Rim it passed through Iseno, Denon (where it crossed with the Hydian Way) and Spirana.

In the Expansion Region it passed through Rhommamool, Tlactehon,Allanteen, Gamor, Milagro and Thaere.

In the Mid Rim it passed through New Cov, Doldur, Druckenwell,Kabray, Algara II, Andosha II, Mon Gazza, Herdessa and Radnor.

In the Outer Rim Territories it passed through Christophsis, Arkanis,Gorno, Dalchon, Ryloth, Wrea and Smuggler's Run. It ended near
the distant Outer Rim worlds of Naos and Lamaredd.

It also ran near Goorla in the Core Worlds, Bacrana in the Expansion Region and Monor, Paqwepor, Falleen,Leritor and Habassa in
the Mid Rim and also near Shimia in the Outer Rim.

A branch of the Corellian Run, in its outer reaches, went near the Lamaro system. When Outer Rim Oreworks settled Lamaredd, they
took steps so that this ramification stopped being widely used.

Corellian Trade Spine

The Corellian Trade Spine was a major trade route. It began atCorellia and headed towards the edge of the galaxy, in the direction
of Duro. It passed Devaron and Bestine IV before intersecting theRimma Trade Route at Yag'Dhul. As it continued it passed through
the Greater Javin region of space (which contains the Ison Corridor) before intersecting the Hydian Way and exiting into open inter-
galactic space.

History

The Corellian Trade Spine was first established around 25,000 BBYas a spur of the Corellian Run, however it was not completed
until5,500 BBY. It was built incrementally over the centuries. Most of the outer spine beyond Yag'Dhul was relatively new, with parts
having been opened only within the last few centuries BBY by Ecclessis Figg. During the Clone Wars it was subjected
to Separatist raids from Devaron and during the Galactic Civil War it was raided byNym's pirates, originating from Lok.

The Rimma Trade Route

The Rimma Trade Route was one of the major routes that crossed the galaxy. It started at Abregado-rae in the Core Worlds, and
went all the way to the Kathol sector in the far reaches of the Outer Rim Territories. It was estimated that traveling the full length of
the route would take at least six weeks with a Class 2 hyperdrive.[

An important branch of the Rimma, the Shapani Bypass, grew increasingly important in later years, and some considered it part of the
Rimma for all practical purposes.

Another branch, which was a continuation of the Rimma, was theTrition Trade Route. The Trition began at Karideph and continued
on into the Kathol sector.

History

When the Herglic Trade Empire joined the Galactic Republic in13,000 BBY, the Hidakai Pool begun to develop. From
there, Herglicsand Givin theorists knit together the Rimma; Sullustan merchants who came to Tapani sector and having innate
navigational talents, found ready jobs as scouts, pilots and hyperspace mappers and established the Route 5,500 BBY.
Its dominant worlds (Denon and Eriadu) are ruled by humans.

Commerce along the Route enriched SoroSuub Corporation, the Tapani sector and colonization of the south.

In the years before the Invasion of Naboo, the Trade Federation had a de-facto monopoly on the Rimma Trade Route. Subsequently,
the planets on the route were the main recruitment grounds for theNebula Front.

The Rimma Trade Route was seized by the Sith Empire as part of their initial infiltration of Republic space. Consequenly, it was
economically strangled by empirical sanctions.
