The mission was mainly to perform the following:
 Support the PM's decision-making process & allow completing the project within the approved budget,
ensure any deviation from plan is promptly spotted & analyzed, final impact is estimated & the effect of
corrective actions taken is monitored. Satisfy the Client & Corporate reporting requirements. Keep the
cost/revenues forecast updated, to allow updating the intercompany service agreements.
 Issue the Monthly Cost Report (consolidated) inclusive of details and written comprehensive analysis of
performance, trends, deviations and assumptions.

Previous Positions & Responsibilities


1. From January, 1st 2009 to July, 12th 2011
Head of Projects Planning & Control Section, Petrobel Egypt (Oil & Gas Client/ENI & BP) – Cairo Head Office
The mission was to run & monitor the projects control system for a program of various sized On/Offshore
Oil & Gas Projects respecting the shareholders targets & the company rules & procedures, by doing:
 Setup the overall annual projects CAPEX budget, baseline schedules, cost phasing, earned value
management system (EVMS) & setup the (5 & 10 years) cost estimates.
 Setup & manage projects control system for various types of contracts (EPC, Lump sum, Unit Rate,
Reimbursable, BOT…etc), track the activities progress (VOWD), update the projects schedules & control
sheets to control the projects services contracts & purchase orders, estimate the (ETC, EAC), analyze
projects performance (CV, SV, VAC, SPI, CPI and TCPI) & define probable risks.
 Review & analyze the overall costs & accruals, invoices approval and release SAP service tickets.
 Create & manage an integrated projects control system, train, coach and mentor the staff using it, add
the ad-hoc reports and perform periodical maintenance & features upgrading.
2. From March, 18th 2008 to September, 12th 2008
Part time Projects Planner, Global Energy – Cairo Head Office
 Setup the baseline schedule for the new projects, review, discuss & integrate the contractors schedules
and obtain the final baseline schedule approved by the project manager.
 Track the project execution on daily basis, issue the updated schedule complete with the project S-curve
& trend curve and attend the weekly project review meeting.
 Issue the project fact sheet when requested to conclude the overall situation (procurement of the
material, construction activities at site …etc) and attend the client progress review meeting.

 9 months site-based assignment to set-up a historical database for the closed projects, collect,
handle and insert all available data and make various statistics for the purpose of having lessons
learned and projects control template for the new projects.

 Receive and deliver the contractors invoices from/to the Financial Department.
 Register and track the invoices approval cycle and prepare the relevant status reports.

1. Kashagan Field Development Experimental Program - Hook-up & Commissioning of


Complex D & Island A Offshore Facilities - Temporary Refuge Barge (TRB)
July 2011 to Present

The function of the Temporary Refuge Barge is to accommodate approximately 900 persons in the event of H2S
leakage emergency & evacuate Island-D during the commissioning phase of Kashagan Hook up Project. In case
of troubles, people can wait helps in over pressured confined spaces H2S free. The Barge can be moved far
away from the well heads (if allowed by Weather & Ice conditions) or people can be moved away by helicopters
or other supports.

2. Mediterranean & Red Sea Offshore Oil & Gas Facilities Program (2,830 MMUS$)
January 2001 to June 2011

A program of 2,830 MMUS$, composed of the following projects:


- Denise-A Development (Modification of the TSF of an existing producing platform and adding new
facilities in addition to the processing plant onshore facilities extension)
- Seth Development (New unmanned 4 legged offshore platform with complete TSF, sealine, PLEM, SSIV
& onshore plant treatment facilities)
- Temsah North West Development New platform with complete TSF, sealine, PLEM & onshore facilities)
- Denise-B Development (New TSF, subsea system and sealine)
- North Bardawil Development (New TSF, subsea system and sealine)

A program of 496 MMUS$, composed of the following projects:


- El-Gamil Miocene Compression Station (Installing of new Gas turbo-compressors to maintain the
production at the DCQ to withstand the natural depletion of producing wells)
- El-Gamil Production Increase (adding No.3 Miocene LTS units with total capacity of about 14 MMSCM/D
in addition to new Flare, new glycol regeneration system and new metering system.
- El-Gamil Power Generation System Upgrading (Installing three new turbo-generators 10mw each at ISO
condition instead of gas reciprocating engines)
- Fayrouz Development (Minimum well head facilities and 6” flow line, temporary rental process
facilities, skid mounted type and gas export pipeline)
- PPC Pumping Station (installation of an intermediate pumping station on condensate shipping pipeline
in order to upgrade shipping & evacuation capacity)

4. Belayim & Petreco Onshore Oil Facilities Program (209 MMUS$)


August 2006 to June 2011

A program of 209 MMUS$, composed of the following projects:


- Belayim New Power Station (Installing of two new turbo generators total 20 MW at ISO conditions to
cover the required power for future wells extension.
- New Petreco Land Oil Separation Train (Installing of a new 3 phase land oil separation train complete
with heat exchanger and pumps to cope with new conditions of the land oil production.
- Petreco Marine Oil Treatment De-bottlenecking (Installing of three direct heaters between second stage
separator and gas boot for marine circuit to overcome water cut percentage increase)
- 18" Petreco-Fieran Land Pipeline (Construct a new 18'' pipeline 11Km from Petreco treatment plant to
Feiran shipping terminal)

5. Safety Projects (109 MMUS$)


November 2006 to June 2011

A program of 109 MMUS$, composed of the following projects:


- Halon System Replacement (Replacement of the installed Halon firefighting system units /equipment
by (FM 200) to fulfill the environmental standard).
- Petreco DCS Upgrading (Upgrading of existing control, ESD/PSD systems at Petreco control room from
signal loop control to DCS and including also field instruments replacement).
- Mediterranean Safety Improvement (The project targets to re-assess the existing offshore structures by
adding additional equipment for the unmanned platforms to improve the safety, communications and
control from onshore including also improving chemical injection facilities,…..etc.).
- SSIV Installation (Equip the existing platforms with subsea isolating valves to secure the wells)

6. Various Civil Projects (26 MMUS$)


February 2009 to September 2010

A program of 26 MMUS$, composed of the following projects:


- El-Gamil Plant New Infrastructure & Camp Facilities (Upgrading of El-Gamil camp by constructing
number of two new villas, A.O.I. sewage plant, Electrical substation, northern fence, new workshop,
laboratory and mosque)
- Abu Madi Plant Civil Works
- 8" Wadi Fieran-Petreco Water Line Replacement (The project targets to construct a new 14km 8" water
line from Wadi Fieran to Petreco Plant)

7. Scimitar Production Egypt Limited Project (Phase-1)


January 2008 to June 2008

The project phase-1 targeted to erect No.4 generators in order to reach 3,610 MW and was composed of the
following:
- No.4 Generators equipped with relevant synchronization panel.
- No.2 step-up transformers.
- No.8 kiosks equipped with relevant transformers.
- No.6 civil foundations.
- Low & Medium voltage networks.
- Gas network.
