Cadenas Installation Guide

Installation Procedure
1. Run the Cadenas installation program (the file name is psol_workstation.exe).
2. Select the installation language.

3. Click NEXT in the 1st stage of the installation wizard.

4. Click YES in the 2nd stage of the installation wizard.

 5. Click NEXT in the 3rd stage of the installation wizard (leaving the checkbox unchecked).

6. In the 4th stage you can change the installation path by clicking the BROWSE button. If you
don’t want to change it, just click NEXT.
Note: On Vista the default folder will be set to C:\Cadenas\partsolutions.

 7. In the 5th stage click the upper blue button.

8. In the 6th stage you can select not to install documentation in various languages (by default all
languages are installed). Select the button next to the language you want to take off the list and
select Don't Install from the menu.

When this is done, click NEXT.

 9. Click NEXT in the 7th stage of the installation wizard.
Note: Do NOT mark the checkbox.

10. Click NEXT in the 8th stage of the installation wizard.

 11. Click NEXT in the 9th stage of the installation wizard.

12. Click NEXT in the 10th stage of the installation wizard.

 13. The installation of Cadenas begins. After a few minutes the following message is displayed:

Click OK.

14. When the installation ends click the FINISH button.

Acquire a License for Cadenas
15. Go to the Start menu to:
Start / All Programs / Cadenas / License / License Manager

16. In the License Manager window, look for the HOSTID, copy the text inside the marked box and
send it to your Cimatron Provider so that they can send you an appropriate license file. If you
already have a file – skip to the next stage.

 17. Click the ADD FILE button and select the file provided to you.

18. Click the SAVE Changes button and close the window.

Install Cadenas Catalogs
19. Open your internet browser and go to the following address:
http://www.cadenas.de/index_main.asp
Note that you can select the country you are from and the language you want to use at the top of
the page. In this document we will show the English interaction.

20. After you have selected the language, select the Support button on the left hand side.

 21. Select the Login option.

22. Select the option Create Account.

 23. Fill in all the details in the registration form so that you will have an account in Cadenas, and
click the Create Account button.

24. After a short while you will receive an email from Cadenas with a link. Open the link (click on
it) to activate your account. Once you do that the account is ready and you can start downloading
catalogs.

 25. Go back to the login window, type in the email and password you just registered and click the
Login button.

26. Once you are logged in select the Update folder.

 27. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select V8.1.

28. Click the Catalogs option.

 29. Click on the letter the catalog name starts with (for example – if you're looking for Hasco – click
H).

 30. Before you download the catalog, it is recommended to mark the checkbox next to it. This will
ensure you get an email when the catalog is updated.

31. Now click the catalog you want to download (in this case – Hasco).

32. Click the CIP file at the bottom.

 33. A download window will appear. In it you need to right click the CIP file and select the Save
Target As option (or Save Link As in Firefox).

34. Save the CIP file at the desired location on your computer.

 35. When the download is complete go to the location where you have saved the CIP file and
double-click it.

36. Click the Only keep the new version option and then the Install button.

37. In order to download another catalog, repeat stages 29-36.

Additional Information
For further information on installing and updating catalogs, refer to the installation manual on the
Cadenas site; go to the support zone (see item 20) and select the Manuals folder.

The system will ask you for a password. Type in the following password:
ma2006nual

Select the language you want to use:
