Description of how to implement in the class: Describe what students will be doing with
spreadsheets and chart/graphs and how the learning activity will help them learn. Overview should be
a minimum of 2 paragraphs.

Students will participate in a Causes of the French Revolution survey. The survey will serve as a
finishing evaluation to the day that the French Revolution is taught. The goal of this is to asses the
comprehension of the causes of the French Revolution. Doing it in a format like this allows for the
teacher to have data on the success of the students to show the need for remediation. The students will
get the laptops from the front of the class and take the survey at the end of the class period. The
teacher will evaluate the results after class and start the class period the next day by going over the
answers and allowing for remediation. The survey is comprised of short answer questions so that the
teacher can better assess the knowledge of the students in regard to specific topics.

Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi): What LoTi best describes this learning experience and
Why.
This is Loti level 3: infusion. This is because the students are having to use technology to complete a
short assessment about the information covered that day. Specifically, the causes of the French
Revolution. The questions that are asked are ones that center around the causes of the French
Revolution. These are open ended free response questions that look to attain a higher level of learning
in which the students will explain each of the causes of the French revolution.
Description of the sample spreadsheet and graph/chart provided *: Describe what viewers will
see and how this spreadsheet will be used in class as an example of what students will create or as a
template they will complete. If you are attaching an Excel file or an online spreadsheet/graphing
program such as Google Spreadsheet, you will also want to attach a .pdf so that those without the

software can access the file.

The assessment that is being used is an online format in Office 365 Microsoft Forms. It is a 5-question
short answer quiz in which the students will have to explain in their best ability the different causes of
the French revolution. These serve as an assessment for the big ideas that were covered during the
day. These will help students further understand the revolution and further events to come. This will
also allow the teacher to better collect data on the answers that the students give and in turn better
assist the students in their learning.
Other comments about your proposed spreadsheet/graph/chart activity: Anything else you want
to say. If you are using/adapting another person’s lesson, cite the original source.
