Synopsis – Cricket Stadium

Abstract
This project is going to be a cricket stadium whose site is located in sector 104 in Noida
holding the capacity up to 80,000 spectators. A stadium is staging ground for spectator of
masses of people. The influence of stadium is tremendous in its immediate surroundings,
and in some cases, it can be felt around the world.
Aim
The aim is to plan and design cricket stadium of international standards to ease the pressure
on the current stadiums in Delhi. The stadium facility will also enhance sustainable approach
and multi-functional ideology for designing of sports and recreation center and how the two
can be combined and help each other to cater the need of world class events.

Objectives

 To research about the history and growth of cricket in India.


 To research about the evolution of sports stadium

4. Viewing angles
 To enhance a sense of national cohesion and common interest, this would act as a
major building, for society as a whole.
 To design a stadium whose functionality isn’t just limited to cricket but also other
sports can be played like hockey or football for national events.
 To design a stadium that attains a global image through its form, façade and roof
structure.
Scope and Limitation
The scope is to promote a design for the stadium that meets the international standards and
reduces the pressure on the present stadium. Cricket stadium is the key thought behind the
entire design programme as it will be catering to the 2023 ICC world cup to be held in India.
The idea behind the proposal is not be focusing on just one mega event, rather it will be
implemented in a way to be part of the urban fabric of the city.
The limitation would be the cricket academy is not designed, but an adequate area is
provided for the same.
