Read the text and answer the question. Why is Ron’s house named “the Burrow”?

THE BURROW – HOME, SWEET HOME

“It’s not much,” said Ron.
“It’s wonderful,” said Harry happily, thinking of Privet Drive.
“Right,” said Ron. “Come on, Harry, I sleep at the—”
The Burrow is the family _________of the Weasleys, located on the outskirts of Ottery St
Catchpole in Devon England. It was a magical _________that became a second _______to
Harry Potter.
The Burrow had a small _______at the front of the house, with a garage and a chicken coop
that housed the family's chickens. A sign in the ground read "The Burrow" by the main
entrance.
Behind the main house there was a large ________with a pond full of frogs. It was home to
a large number of gnomes; the Weasleys had to regularly de-gnome the ________ by
throwing them over the hedge.
The Burrow was held up with magic and was very messy inside, but very welcoming at the
same time.
The interior of the Burrow was cosy to live in. The ________of the Burrow was the social
centre of the Weasley family. The _______ contains a large wooden table with room
enough for eight chairs.
The __________of the Weasley home was a cosy room, with a sofa and armchairs. There
was a large fireplace, a wooden wireless set, and a clock that, rather than telling the time,
indicated the status of each member of the Weasley family. Instead of numbers, there were
various phrases such as "home," "school," "work," "travelling," "lost," "dentist," "hospital,"
"prison," and "mortal peril". Instead of arms to tell the time, there were nine hands, one for
each member of the family. With Lord Voldemort's return, the hands constantly pointed to
"mortal peril". Molly Weasley got into the habit of carrying the clock around the house with
her during this dark time, as she constantly worried about her family.
"Harry recognized it at once: It had nine hands, each inscribed with the name of a
family member, and usually hung on the Weasleys' sitting room wall, though its
current position suggested that Mrs Weasley had taken to carrying it around the
house with her. Every single one of its nine hands was now pointing at "mortal
peril"."
Despite being poor, none of the Weasleys seemed ashamed of their home, and it had a
comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. It was a welcoming place, and friends of the family were
regular visitors.

1) They climbed two more flights until they reached a door with peeling paint and a small plaque on it,
saying RONALD’S ROOM.
Harry stepped in, his head almost touching the sloping ceiling, and blinked. It was like walking into a
furnace: Nearly everything in Ron’s room seemed to be a violent shade of orange: the bedspread, the walls,
even the ceiling. Then Harry realized that Ron had covered nearly every inch of the shabby wallpaper with
posters of the same seven witches and wizards, all wearing bright orange robes, carrying broomsticks, and
waving energetically.
2) “Your Quidditch team?” said Harry.
“The Chudley Cannons,” said Ron, pointing at the orange bedspread, which was emblazoned with two giant
black C’s and a speeding cannonball. “Ninth in the league.”
Ron’s school spellbooks were stacked untidily in a corner, next to a pile of comics that all seemed to
feature The Adventures of Martin Miggs, the Mad Muggle. Ron’s magic wand was lying on top of a fish
tank full of frog spawn on the windowsill, next to his fat gray rat, Scabbers, who was snoozing in a patch of
sun.
3) Harry stepped over a pack of Self-Shuffling playing cards on the floor and looked out of the tiny window.
In the field far below he could see a gang of gnomes sneaking one by one back through the Weasleys’
hedge. Then he turned to look at Ron, who was watching him almost nervously, as though waiting for his
opinion.
“It’s a bit small,” said Ron quickly. “Not like that room you had with the Muggles. And I’m right underneath
the ghoul in the attic; he’s always banging on the pipes and groaning…”
But Harry, grinning widely, said, “This is the best house I’ve ever been in.”
Ron’s ears went pink.
