Beside Each object in the package, there will appear a set of icons that indicate what the CVPackage is going to do
with that specific object when you attempt to import it into your system.

First, there may or may not be a plus symbol beside the object. This denotes that this object has ‘child’ objects
that are imported along with this object. Clicking on the plus symbol will ‘expand’ the object so that you can see its
children. When you click on the plus symbol, it becomes a minus symbol . This denotes that you can collapse the
object to hide its children.
Second, there is a check box that allows the user to determine if he/she would like to have the object imported.
If the box is checked, then the CVPackage utility will attempt to import that object into the system. If the box is not
checked, the CVPackage Utility will skip of that specific object.

Finally, you will see an icon that represents the objects type and its status in your system.

If you see a yellow light , then this object does not currently exist in your databases and importing it will not have
any effect on existing database objects.

If you see a green light , then this object already exists in your system and the CVPackage Utility will use the
item that currently exists in your database as a replacement for the one that is included in this package.

If you see a red light , then this object already exists in your system and the CVPackage Utility will overwrite the
information found in your database with the information found in this package.

Because the packages are maintained and updated by Cabinet Vision, we recommend that if you see a green light,
that you change the status of the object. To do so, left click on the object with the green light, and click on the ‘Turn

On/Off Overwrite Mode’ button . This will change the green light to a red light. When importing a Package
that is created and maintained by Cabinet Vision, all lights in the package should be either yellow or red
unless otherwise instructed.

Once you have ensured that all items are to be imported into your system, click on the ‘Import Package Into Solid’

button .

Once the package in successfully imported into your system, you will receive the following message:
