which 15 are from Lok Sabha, and 7 from Rajya Sabha. Since 1967, the
chairman of the committee is selected from the opposition. Earlier, it was

 Finally in its fifth attempt Defence Research and Development Organisation


(DRDO) achieved yet another feat on 7th nov 2017 with the successful test flight
of ‘NIRBHAY’ - India’s first indigenously designed and developed Long Range
Sub-Sonic Cruise Missile which can be deployed from multiple platforms. It was
successfully test fired from the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur,
Odisha.The missile, with a strike range of 1,000 kilometer, was test-fired from a
specially-designed launcher.
The cruise missile is expected to supplement the Indo-Russian joint venture
supersonic cruise missile BrahMos, which can carry warheads up to 290
kilometer.

Four traditional sweet delicacies of WB are Moa of Jainagar, Sarpuria of
Krishnagar, and Mihidana and Sitabhog of Burdwan get GI tag.
