The "simple present" is the simplest and most important verb tense in the English

language.
If the subject is 3rd person singular is added a "-s" to the verb.
Let's see as an example the conjugation of the verb "to live" (live) in simple
present:

you live tú vives

For verbs ending in "-o", "- sh", "-ch", "-ss", "-x", "-z", "-y", "-es" is added instead of
"- s for the 3rd person singular. "

Additionally, the verbs ending in "-y" when the "and" is not preceded by a vowel,
form the third person in "-ies".

to study he studies él estudia

But beware if the "-y" is preceded by a vowel, the third person is formed with a "-s"
(standard ending)
