Re: WR 29 Access Control Plan and Planned improvements
Commissioners,
‘The Town of Eaton hosted its regularly scheduled meeting on February 15%, 2018 and
there was an agenda item to hear public concers reparding WCR 29. During this
mecting 4 community members expressed concerns about the propcsed Access Control
Plan (ACP) and the way in which it has been rolled out. We did have 2 members from
the county public works staff available as well to answer questions. Upon hearing many
‘of the cancems being brought forth from those community members and having received
‘multiple emails as well the Eston board is concerned that items of concer have arisen
and may have not yet been addressed by the Board of County Commissioners. The Eaton
“Town Board voted unanimously to send a leter 10 the Weld County Board of
Commissioners asking them to hold off on the passage ofthe ACP until all information
that is being brought forth by these concerned citizens is properly discussed and
considered in a public setting, The Eaton Board fully understands the need and
importance of long range teansportation planning inthe region, alorg with tat we
understand the role of the ACP as presented. The Baton Board wishes that prior to the
passage ofthe ACP that all current concerns aze addressed for the WCR29 corridor. The
Eaton Board appreciates the County Commissioner's regional collaboration on the ACP
and hope thatthe Commissioner's share in our boards desire to make the ACP as accurate
and refletive of the corridors needs as possible.
Respectfully Submitted
