Methodology to be used

for Protecting Pillixy Area

1. Purpose:
The purpose of this document is to provide information on the methodology to be used for
Protecting Pillixy Area.

2. Responsibility :
A. Project Manager and HSE Manager:
The Project Manager (Eng. Anil Pahwa) and the HSE Manager (Mr. Adams Morakinyo) have
the responsibility for the overall operation of this statement. They have the responsibility to
implement the method statement and to delegate the responsibility to HSE officers to
directly supervise the scope of this method statement.

B. HSE / Security Supervisor:

- Responsible for developing HSE procedures and assuring compliance.
- Conduct periodic independent audits to assure the effective implementation of HSE
procedures.
- Conduction inspection to ensure full compliance with EMAAR FM requirements.
- Coordinate with EMAAR FM with regard concerned issues.
- Reporting to HSE manager with regards any violation or any noted damages to the area
due to this operation.
C. Banksman:
- Ensure safe maneuvering for the trucks /Crane during this operation.

3. General Requirements:

- Loading /Off-loading process shall be complying with project specification and common
safety practices.
- CCC will ensure that the crew for implementing this procedure shall have the required
prequalification.
- Area of Loading /Off-loading shall be clean all the time.

4. Procedure:
A. Area where Crawler Crane assemble shall be used ( Dismantling Tower Crane) :
- Backfilling shall be executed in a way which shall not cause any damage to the Paving
surfaces by covering the area with polythene sheet 1000 gauge. Then Soft backfilling
material 10-15 cm.
- A layer of sub grade material with 20-30 cm thickness shall be placed and well
compacted.
- A Steel plates with 20 mm thickness shall be placed under the crawler crane
- After job completion shall be cleaned and handed over to Pillixy

B. Area Where the Man Lift machine to be used (Installing Louvers and GRC Panels):
- Paving surfaces shall be protected by polythene sheet 1000 gauge.
- Plywood sheets with 18 mm thickness shall be covering the area where the man lift
machine will operate.
