COMPANY OVERVIEW: Amal Academy (amalacademy.org) is an education startup supported by
Stanford University and Acumen. Our vision is an education system in Pakistan that creates lifelong
learners, self-starters and problem solvers. To achieve this, our approach is to create a model
platform – through our Career Prep Fellowship – that trains over 10,000 students and is eventually
integrated into the public university curriculum

POSITION OVERVIEW: Amal Academy is at a very exciting stage as a start-up venture in the
process of expansion: in the past year, our team has grown from 20 members to 35 members, our
fellowship has grown from 7 batches per semester to 12, and our number of fellows has grown
from 700 to over 2000. And perhaps more importantly, we believe we are just getting started
In order to build a model platform that trains 10K youth and is integrated into the public university
curriculum, we need a strong Curriculum Manager who will be able to help take Amal to the next
stage
RESPONSIBILITIES: The role of Curriculum Manager will be extremely high touch and constantly
evolving. That said, the following is a snapshot of the current needs and projections for this role:
Fellowship curriculum
– Observing sessions – and reviewing online courses –each week so that you come to
understand/learn the curriculum and the fellowship more deeply
– Help with the revision of lesson plans, so that they include more activities, discussion, role
plays and engaging learning experiences
– Help update online courses in order to improve content, increase engagement, and
maximize learning
– Phase 2: Create any new Lessons Plans that might be included in the Fellowship
Teacher training
– Developing plans for teacher training programs at the school level (e.g., Sydenwala, Ali
Institute, other schools)
– Support Amal in the creation, piloting and launch of a Faculty development platform,
building deep relationships with higher education institutions, educators, content creators,
international teacher training organizations, and the Higher Education Commission
– Potentially help design and launch the Teaching Fellowship, encouraging and preparing
university students to venture into the teaching profession
HOURS: This position is designed to be a full-time role, working 5.5 days a week (with Mondays as
holidays and Sundays as half days)
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Compensation will be aligned with the candidate’s experiences
and qualifications and will be competitive with the market

REQUIREMENTS: We are looking for someone with 2-4 years of professional experience in
training, curriculum development and/or teaching with a passion for education, creativity and
coaching

Position Overview: The role of Program Manager is a critical position at Amal, given we are in the process of
expanding our Career Prep Fellowship. Specifically, the PM will be responsible for managing and facilitating
upcoming 1-2 Career Prep Fellowships (an intense, 3-month leadership initiative (meeting on Weekdays,
Saturday/Sunday), with the goal of helping a batch of 40 government university students get quality jobs).
Responsibilities: A successful Program Manager will oversee the facilitation (e.g., training) and operational details
(e.g., assignment revision, recruitment/selection, etc.) of Amal’s Career Prep Fellowships along with the Program
Associate. Specifically, this position will focus on three goals: training, coaching and selection.
Fellowship Operations:
– Coordinate every week with their Program Associate to ensure the smooth flow of fellowship
operations ( Logistics of fellowship, scheduling of one-on-one etc.)
– Support the Program Associate in their professional development, specifically providing opportunities
to facilitate in session, and coach in other areas of professional development
– Ensure that the fellowship policies and procedures are followed and implemented to ensure fairness
and accountability for the fellows in the program
– Communicate the Project Work and other announcements to the Fellows in a timely and consistent
fashion
– Follow up with fellows on their progress every week to help them achieve their career aspirations and
motivate them to complete the 3 months intensive program
– Conduct check ins with Program Associate (PA) to help them develop and coordinate with them to
ensure smooth fellowship operations
Hours: This position is designed to be a full-time role, working 5.5 days a week (with Mondays as holidays and
Sundays as half days) and Sunday as holiday when the fellowship session are not going on.
Location: The position is full time based in Lahore, with travelling involved over the weekend if the fellowship is in
Faisalabad.

Requirements: We are looking for someone with 1-3 years of professional experience. Prior experience in
training, teaching or education sector is preferable however anyone with a passion of education, training, and
