Helpful Hints
TIME - In order to be on time for our parades and shows, please note
that Holland is on Eastern Daylight Savings Time in May.
TRAFFIC PATTERNS - When arriving to the Holland area, tune your Park Township
dial to CB/Channel 9 or 530 AM for information about local traffic
patterns. For both entering and touring the area, it is recommended to
use 16th, 24th or 32nd Streets rather than 8th Street. Use Pine or Van
Raalte Avenues to exit town.
AIRPORT - The nearest major airport is Gerald R. Ford International Zilver
Airport in Grand Rapids (GRR), approximately 40 minutes away.
Several car rental companies are located within the terminal.

TULIPS - A lot of time goes into the planting and beautification of our
tulips. We ask that you enjoy them and take a lot of photos but please
do not pick them.
TRANSPORTATION - It is suggested to have your own means of
transportation as our festival is held throughout the city. The City of
Holland offers local bus transportation. To view their schedule please HAVEMAN
visit - www.catchamax.org. Otherwise there are a few car rental and ELECTRIC
SERVICES, INC
cab companies.
PARADE BLANKET/CHAIR POLICY - For the Volksparade and
Kinderparade, items cannot be set up earlier than 6am the morning
of the parade. Muziekparade items cannot be set up earlier than 9pm
on Friday evening. Items may be placed between street and side-
walk only. All items must be removed no later than 1 hour after each
parade.
TICKETS - We recommend ordering show tickets in advance. During Brons
the festival ticket availability varies. An additional $3 per ticket fee
will be charged for all online orders.
REFUNDS - Refunds are available until April 7, 2008, less a 5%
handling fee. Returned tickets must be in the Tulip Time office by April
7, 2008. No exceptions. In the unfortunate event of a severe illness, Dutch
injury or death, which directly prevents a visitor from attending the Consulate

TIME - In order to be on time for our parades and shows, please note
that Holland is on Eastern Daylight Savings Time in May.
TRAFFIC PATTERNS - When arriving to the Holland area, tune your Park Township
dial to CB/Channel 9 or 530 AM for information about local traffic
patterns. For both entering and touring the area, it is recommended to
use 16th, 24th or 32nd Streets rather than 8th Street. Use Pine or Van
Raalte Avenues to exit town.
AIRPORT - The nearest major airport is Gerald R. Ford International Zilver
Airport in Grand Rapids (GRR), approximately 40 minutes away.
Several car rental companies are located within the terminal.

TULIPS - A lot of time goes into the planting and beautification of our
tulips. We ask that you enjoy them and take a lot of photos but please
do not pick them.
TRANSPORTATION - It is suggested to have your own means of
transportation as our festival is held throughout the city. The City of
Holland offers local bus transportation. To view their schedule please HAVEMAN
visit - www.catchamax.org. Otherwise there are a few car rental and ELECTRIC
SERVICES, INC

PARADE BLANKET/CHAIR POLICY - For the Volksparade and
Kinderparade, items cannot be set up earlier than 6am the morning
of the parade. Muziekparade items cannot be set up earlier than 9pm
on Friday evening. Items may be placed between street and side-
walk only. All items must be removed no later than 1 hour after each
parade.
TICKETS - We recommend ordering show tickets in advance. During Brons
the festival ticket availability varies. An additional $3 per ticket fee
will be charged for all online orders.
REFUNDS - Refunds are available until April 7, 2008, less a 5%
handling fee. Returned tickets must be in the Tulip Time office by April
7, 2008. No exceptions. In the unfortunate event of a severe illness, Dutch
injury or death, which directly prevents a visitor from attending the Consulate
festival, refunds are available less the 5% handling fee. To qualify for
