WinCC and WinCC TIA cannot be installed simultaneously on one and the same computer. WinCC flexible and WinCC TIA can be
installed simultaneously on one and the same computer.
You have two options for uninstalling STEP 7 Basic / Professional V13:
If the installation of STEP 7 Basic / Professional V13 is defective or damaged by an event, you have the option of repairing the
STEP 7 V13 software.
If installation of STEP 7 (TIA Portal) V13 aborts and you receive the message that you must uninstall an earlier version of WinCC
Professional beforehand even though you have already done the uninstallation, this might be due to a Registry code. Proceed as
follows to remove the Registry entry in Windows 7, for example:
1. In Windows 7 you open the Registry by going to "Search programs and files" and entering "Regedit". Confirm with Enter.
2. Open the path as below.
In Windows 7 32-bit:

1. Remove the entry "4_0_Professional".
2. Do a restart and then you can install STEP 7 (TIA Portal) V13.

First install STEP 7 (TIA Portal), because the HMI products integrate in STEP 7. Then the HMI products followed by the optional
software packages (STARTER, SINAMICS Startdrive, for example). Below is an example for the order of installation:

Note on Deltalogic
If you have the Deltalogic software installed on your computer, faults might occur during the online connection. In this case, check
whether the "s7oiehsx64" service (SIMATIC IEPG Help Service) is being executed in the Task Manager.
Remedy
In the Task Manager and in the "Services" register you right-click the "s7oiehsx64" service to open the pop-up menu. Close and
restart the services.
Note on the Matrox PowerDesk
If you have installed the Matrox PowerDesk desktop management software on your computer, there might be failures with the TIA
Portal start screen.
Remedy
To prevent this behavior from reoccurring, disable the additional screen output.
