I, Somya Sharma, am working as a Team Leader – Procurement at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Prior to TCS, I was
working as a Sr. Executive - Supply Chain & Procurement at Knowell Corporation. At Knowell, I was involved in Materials
Management, Inventory Control, and Sourcing & Procurement (from pre-set suppliers) catering to a large clientele
comprising of MNC’s & SME’s. Simultaneously, I am pursuing MBA – Marketing & Operations from Amity University,
India.

Before joining Knowell, I was working as an Order Management Specialist in Nortel Networks India Pvt. Ltd. In this profile,
I was Heading End-to-End supply chain operations activities for customers & channel partners in the ANZ & ASEAN
regions & major portion of my job involved the usage of SAP R/3 – 4.7H (Version 6.2) - SD & MM Module. Apart from
Order Management, I was involved in: Running MIS reports, Weekly Revenue Reconciliation Assurance Reports, Weekly
Con-calls with management on efficacy of Operations, Inventory Management & Order Fulfillment, Procurement, Vendor
Management, Supplier Management, streamlining processes & procedures. At Nortel, I was nominated for the New
Graduate Leadership Program (NGLP) whereby I was trained to equip me with skills for leadership positions in the
future. My job profile included the following: Ownership of Orders from PO placement through receipt of goods, Customer
PO processing, tracking and invoicing. Ensure delivery compliance for Customer Orders and maximize Revenue for the
APAC region. Pioneered business transformation projects in the areas of Supply Chain resulting in cost reduction &
productivity improvements.

Also, I have experience in marketing & transactions in the field of Climate Change through my stint at Senergy Global
(Suzlon Group Company), particularly CDM & JI projects. An excellent team player, I have the ability to build strong
relationships faster & convert them into lucrative opportunities for my organization. I have excellent interpersonal,
communication & presentation skills with command of oral and written English (International Baccalaureate Diploma) &
Spanish.
