ACTUALIZACIÓN DE JUNOS

- Los router que tenemos en planta tienen dos RE independientes, es decir, que cada una
puede estar corriendo
una JUNOS diferente. Una de las RE siempre estará activa y la otra de backup.

Para ver cual es cual lo haremos con el comando “show chassis routing-engine”

- Podemos cambiar la sesión de telnet de una RE a otra con el comando “request routing-
engine login x”

request routing-engine login ?

- Las tarjetas procesadoras ( router engine ) trabajan de forma independiente ( al contrario que
en los router Cisco )
lo que quiere decir que las dos tarjetas no guardan la configuración actual, ni las anteriores,
esta solo es guardada
por la en la tarjeta que esta en ese momento activaEsta funcionalidad de configuraciones
parejas en las dos RE será
aplicable a partir de la versión 5.1 de Juniper.

- Los router Juniper permiten la carga de software a través de FTP. El FTP se puede realizar
bien arrancado
la sesión desde el propio Juniper para ello deberemos de arrancar el modo shell de Unix a
través del
comando “start shell” donde el Juniper se comportara como una máquina en la que correo
Unix.O que el Juniper
haga de cliente ftp, ya que posee dicha facilidad, en esta ocasión también se comportara como
una maquina con SO Unix.

En el ejemplo que se muestra se carga la Junos arrancando desde una maquina residente en
el Centro de Gestión de Red Nuria.

1. Copiamos la JUNOS a la RE de backup.

2. Copiamos la configuración actual a la RE de backup

file copy /config/juniper.conf re1:/var/tmp/copied-juniper.conf

3. Accedemos a la RE de backup

request routing-engine login re1

4. Activamos la configuración actual en la RE de backup

load replace /var/tmp/copied-juniper.conf

commit and quit

5. Hacemos un backup del sistema de archivos actual.

request system snapshot

6. Activamos la JUNOS en la RE de backup

request system software add /var/home/test/jbundle-4.3R2-export.tgz delay-restart


reboot

7. Hacemos un backup del sistema de archivos actual.

request system snapshot

8. Conmutamos de RE para que la de backup pase a ser la master y viceversa.
