Stages of the Lesson

Warm-up: The teacher greets the students (1 minute)

Activity 1
Aim: - to check the homework
Interaction: Ss-Ss, Ts-Ss
Time: 9 minutes
Procedure: The teacher asks the students to come in front of the class and present their
homework(they had to draw their family and to describe them physically).
Materials: drawings

Activity 2
Aim: - to present the new vocabulary
-to make up sentences with the new words
-to act out the dialogue
-to correct the mistakes
-to fill in the sentences with the new words
Interaction: Ss-Ss, T-Ss, Ss-T
Time: 15 minutes
Procedure: The teacher announces the title of the new lesson `The Tree House` and
writes it on the blackboard. The teacher writes the new words on the blackboard and asks
the students to repeat them and then to produce their own sentences orally.
The teacher asks the students to read the dialogue on page 30. Students act the dialogue
two times then they solve ex.2/30.
The teacher asks them to correct the mistakes in exercise 4/31.
The teacher asks them to fill in the sentences with the new words.(ex.5/31)

Activity 3
Aim: -to use there is/there are correctly
-to ask and answer using there is/there are
-to talk about the location of objects
Interaction: Ss-Ss, T-Ss, Ss-T
Time: 15 minutes
Procedure: The teacher writes on the blackboard all the forms of there is/there are
(affirmative,negative and interrogative) giving examples also.
The teacher gives students a worksheet containing there is/there are ,all forms.
The teacher asks them to look at the pictures and write true or false(reading
comprehension).
The teacher asks the students to fill in the sentences using there is/there are , all forms.

Activity 4
Aim: - to give feedback
Interaction: Ss-Ss, T-Ss ,Ss-T
Time: 5 minutes
Procedure: The teacher asks one student to look around the classroom and ask ask his
deskmate about the existence or location of some objects in the classroom.
Materials: book,blackboard

Homework – The teacher gives them as homework ex2 and 4/32.
