Bottle Buddies
Bottle buddies are 2 or 3 liter bottles, emptied and cleaned. (Sand in the bottom will help them
stand.) They are then decorated to look like your assigned famous person. Many pictures can be
found on the internet with a search of “biography bottle buddies”.
I am providing the Styrofoam ball for the head; however students will need to provide the bottle
and decorative supplies.
Here are some suggested items you may want to use to help you:
2 or 3 liter bottles, scissors, glue, felt, paint, yarn for hair, cloth material, construction paper,
etc.
JUST BE CREATIVE!

Try your best to make your Bottle Buddy represent your person.
Make sure:
• none of the bottle is showing
• you have a mouth, nose, eyes and ears on your buddy
• put something on the styrofoam ball (hair, hat, hood) to make it look like a
person
• use fabric scraps and/or material if possible (construction paper does not
work well)
• to make your buddy more stable (so it won’t tip), add sand or sugar to the
bottom of the bottle before attaching the head
• it is a good idea to glue the head on
Bottle Buddy is due on March 28th
