DE INVIERNO 2018

HOW TO WIN

3rd place 30pts

Conjugation Curling
To play: you will roll the ball towards the court and wherever the ball lands equates with a
subject and verb to conjugate (i.e. yo querer =quiero). If done correctly your team will win
the number of points respective to where the ball landed.
(Countries will work together to come up with the answers!)

Slopestyle Sentences
This event is a relay. All members of your group must participate. If you are short a player 1
member will go twice.
How to play: with your (snow)board you will go down a ‘hill’ (aka walk around the room)
with 3 opportunities to do ‘tricks’

Tricks= successfully changing a sentence to have a direct object pronoun or correctly

translating a sentence that contains a DO.
ex) I have it→ yo lo tengo
After you complete your 3 tricks you must turn them into the judge and high five the next
person in line before they can go.
RULES: no contact with the other boarders, no shouting out answers, no
leaving before the high-five. Each border must change the sentence with the #
that correlates to their order (i.e #3 is the third person on the team to go)

How to win: be the first team to successfully send all members ‘down the mountain of
direct object pronouns’ with the most correct.
Every error adds 2 seconds onto your team’s combined finish time!!
The last team member is required to write the finish time told to them by the judge on their
board.

Speed Skating with vocab!

As a team you will have to translate into spanish or identify what an object is on a sheet of
paper.
This event is timed BUT correctness is more important than time each error adds 3
seconds.
WORK AS A TEAM… if team members appear to be excluded a penalty time will be added
