Describe a small segment of a narrative that could occupy 20-30 seconds of a short
animation or cut scene from a game where your character does something that conveys
emotion: funny, sad, surprised, etc. An example would be something like this: A kid in a
karate gi stands in front of a board ready to attempt to snap it. The board is suspended
between two cinder blocks as the kid tries every move to break the board, but the board
will not budge. Finally, after falling on the floor, he sits up and leans on the board with his
elbow, chin resting on his palm with the look of frustration on his face. The board snaps
and he falls again with a thud and dust puffs up.

Character sits behind the wall of a bank as 5 local authorities block his escape, pistol is shot out
of his hand, character tosses bag of money in the air, jumps out from the wall, whips out pistol,
guns his 5 opponents down with precision, catches bag of money and walk out, as character turns
around he is face to face in a Mexican stand off with the sheriff, shot of single bullet in chamber,
shows wide side angle of characters facing each other, suddenly each simultaneously pulls out
revolver, cuts to black, sound of gunshot.

OR

Character walks into bar, head on shot of him walking towards counter with laughter and rowdy
chatter behind him. Sits down to have a drink, noise muffles and dies down as heads turn toward
entrance where 5 law enforcement officers stand, 5 slowly walk down the center scanning each
person holding wanted sign with character’s face on it, cuts back to character slightly looking
over shoulder, reed drops from mouth. The 5 stop and focus on him, a hand reaches out
aggressively, suddenly Character spins around in the bar stool and shoots the 5 down (behind
shoulder). Character takes reed from hat, puts it in his mouth, and confidently walks out.
