Rizieq, Firza no-shows for questioning
JAKARTA: Islam Defenders Front (FPI) leader Rizieq Shihab and his
reported girlfriend Firza Husein failed to show up at Jakarta Police
headquarters on Tuesday for questioning concerning an alleged sexting
scandal.
Rizieq and Firza, who is also a coordinator for the former president
Soeharto affiliated Solidaritas Sahabat Cendana Foundation, were sum-
moned by police to answer questions regarding an allegedly steamy
WhatsApp conversation between the two.
They have been charged with the 2008 Electronic Information and
Transactions (ITE) Law for allegedly exchanging information containing
pornographic material.
An intimate WhatsApp exchange containing nude photos between
a man and a woman believed to be Rizieq and Firza was uploaded
earlier this year to the website baladacintarizieq.com by unknown
people. The site has since been blocked.
“Habib [Rizieq] is unable to attend questioning because he has
another important appointment,” said Sugito Atmo Pawiro from FPI’s
legal team on Monday. — JP

AHSAN ANDRIAN

Bigelow
‘I LOVE IT’
With all his knowledge, Ahsan is very picky in deciding what
gadgets are the best for him. He also doesn’t always follow
trends, knowing that the latest products do not always have the
specifications that he needs.
“For me, a fast internet connection in a phone is a must.
Others can follow,” he told The Jakarta Post recently.
Ahsan criticizes people who always buy the latest gadget
without knowing their own needs.
“They buy an iPhone 7 for the sake of being trendy,” he said,
adding that in terms of technology specifications, the iPhone 7
doesn’t really offer new things compared to previous models.

In making the documentary, Jeffrey conducted

He said he did no prior historical research before

As the film progresses, it becomes more evident
that the younger the Javanese-Suriname are, the

For example, the first segment of the film features
