TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth

Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California
30 years ago, TED has grown to support its mission with
multiple initiatives and to bring along the convergence of
Technology, Entertainment and Design. The two annual
TED Conferences invite the world's leading thinkers and
doers to speak for 18 minutes or less, to share a wide
range of ideas. These talks are primarily aimed at
bringing curious souls to engage together and seek a
better understanding of the world. Speakers that have
graced the stage of TED in the past include notable
personalities such as Bill Gates, Bill Clinton, James

TED
Cameron, Stephen Hawking, Julian Assange, Elizabeth
Gilbert, etc.
TED's media initiatives include TED.com, where new
TED talks are posted daily; the Open Translation Project,
which provides subtitles and interactive transcripts as

In the spirit of ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’, TEDx is a
program of local, self-organized events
that bring people together to share a TED-like
experience. At a TEDx event, videos and live
speakers combine to spark deep discussion and
thoughtful conversations. These local, self-
organized events are branded TEDx, where
x = independently organized TED event. The TED
Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx
program, but individual TEDx events are
self-organized.

Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT) is an AICTE approved

private engineering college, established in 1999 under MATES. It is affiliated
with GGSIPU and promoted by a group of well known professionals and
philanthropists with an aim to promote quality education in the field of
technology and management. MAIT has grown from strength to strength to
emerge as one of the top technical institutes among the private institutes and
has been ranked 9th amongst the top engineering Institutes all over India by
DATAQUEST (2014-15).
MAIT has joined hands with various industries for imparting industry relevant
technical education and training. Its alumni have also distinguished
themselves through their significant contributions to industry, academics,
research, business, government and social domains. The institute continues to
work to enhance its activities through interactions in academic and research
programmes. It also has notable student societies such as Jatayu
(Automobile/ATV) which is among India’s top 10 in its field and Aayaam
(Drama) which has left its impression of expertise all over NCR.

experience an event that will bring distinguished speakers from diverse
walks of life under one roof to showcase some exceptional success stories
and thought-provoking ideas. It will be the right blend of inspiration and
deep insight that satiates our intellectual appetite.

It often takes an idea, some time to concretise in our mind. But at

TEDxMAIT we shall seek how such ideas can be transformed into
breathtaking realities, as we explore our event theme - From Ideas to Action.
TEDxMAIT gives you an opportunity to be a part of stories and ideas that
have the potential of bringing quantum leaps in our world and leverage them
to create a better future.

The theme of TEDxMAIT, focuses on the journey of an idea- the journey of
an idea as it undergoes the transformation from a thought to an action.
Every simple thing around us was once a humble idea. A thought that went
on to become something huge. "From Ideas to Action" focuses on the
process that transforms a minuscule, passing thought into a tangible
service. Stories that inspired the idea, hard work that transformed and the
execution that put the idea in front of the masses.
With a spirit of inspiring, we plan to share the stories of people who were
brave enough to believe and implement their ideas.

SPEAKER
We would like to invite you to speak at TEDxMAIT, an independently
organized TED-style event. TEDxMAIT is a full-day event being organized
by Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology.

Our goal is to bring bright minds together to give talks that are idea-
focused yet diverse, to foster learning, inspiration and to provoke
conversations that matter. As TEDx is recognised globally, being a TEDx
speaker is a great opportunity to gain credibility and introduce the world to
your opinions, thoughts and stories. For a speaker, it is a platform to
establish network with other eminent speakers from diverse backgrounds
and a chance to connect with an enthusiastic audience.

Also, all TEDx talks are filmed and an edit is then hosted on the TEDx
YouTube channel. Your message will reach millions of people in no time!
