SYMPTOMS

In the Security Console either ONE or MORE Tabs are missing:

Roles
Users
Analytics
Administration
Certificates

Steps to Reproduce Issue:

1. Login to Fusion application


2. Click Navigator -> Tools : Security Console

You do not see either or all Tabs listed above.

CHANGES

Environment was upgraded from Release 9,10,11 to Release 12.

CAUSE

The Simplified Role Model version of the IT Security Manager job role [Role Code Name:
ORA_FND_IT_SECURITY_MANAGER_JOB] is either NOT mapped or NOT assigned to the end user.

SOLUTION

For Release 10 and 11

Please follow the steps given below:

a. Login to APM as admin user.


b. Search for External Roles and type IT Security Manager.
c. Click open the role details.
d. Click on the Application Role Mapping tab and verify if you see IT Security Manager [Role Code:
ORA_FND_IT_SECURITY_MANAGER_JOB] application job role.

If you DO NOT see the IT Security Manager under Application Role Mapping then please do as follows:

a. Click on the Map + icon.


b. Select Application as hcm.
c. Enter Display Name starts with IT Security.
d. Click the Search button.
e. Highlight the record under Search Results and click the Map Roles button.
f. Repeat steps a-e for other Application crm, fscm, obi.

For Release 12: NEWLY PROVISIONED ENVIRONMENT

Please follow the steps given below:

1. Login to fusion application as admin user

2. Navigate to the Tools > Security Console page.

3. Search for the role ORA_FND_IT_SECURITY_MANAGER_JOB.

4. Click on the down arrow button Edit Role.

5. Under the Users section, click on Add User.

6. Add the required user to the role.

7. Click the Summary and Impact Report train stop and then click the Save and Close button.

For Release 12: UPGRADED ENVIRONMENT

In R12 UPGRADED environments the old IT Security Manager [Role Code: FND_IT_SECURITY_MANAGER_JOB]
would be associated with the user(s). You would need to follow the steps given below:

1. Login to Fusion application as the admin user.

2. Navigate to the Tools > Security Console page.

3. On the Roles tab now search for the ORA_FND_IT_SECURITY_MANAGER_JOB and ensure that the role selected
has the Code: ORA_FND_IT_SECURITY_MANAGER_JOB.

4. Click the actions drop down and select the Edit Role option.

5. Click on the Users train stop and then look for your user account in the Users list, click the Add User button and add
required user to this role.

6. Click the Summary and Impact Report train stop and then click the Save and Close button.

7. On the Roles tab search for the FND_IT_SECURITY_MANAGER_JOB role.

8. Ensure that you select the role that has the Code: FND_IT_SECURITY_MANAGER_JOB.

9. Click the actions drop down and select the Edit Role option.

10. Click on the Users train stop and then look for your user account in the Users list, click the 'X' icon to Remove the
role.

11. Click the Summary and Impact Report train stop and then click the Save and Close button.

12. The user should now have access to all the '5' tabs (Roles, Users, Analytics, Certificates and
Administration) under Security Console.
