SOLUTION

There a lot of inventor have create new invention to solve this problem, and there were a lot of
solution that been idealize. However, each of those creation and solution does not accurate with
user convenience and not able to solve the problem. This are the briefing of few example of
creation that been invented.

Existing solution

Recycle dustbin

Normally dustbin is made as simple as it can be and have plain color. For example, the dustbin
that been made and well known as the garbage separator called Recycle garbage-can. It divided
into three can that will separate the type of garbage with different color of garbage-can. The
benefit is, it is easier for recycling process and the dumping process because it is already
separated the type of garbage by the user. The government still enduring this solution to
community, and it is less effective because the color chosen is not attractive.
Transparent dustbin

This invention is made to remind the user about the garbage level inside the dustbin. This dustbin
made with transparent material such as plastic or other material that can visualize the garbage
from the outside of dustbin. The risk that having this dustbin is it can attract the animal nearby
such as cat or dog to uncluttered the garbage.

The innovation

After observing the existed creation that been made to solve this problem, we came up with idea
that encountered their main deficiency and determined to fix these problem and propose a better
invention. To overcome this problem, the invention that we would like to propose is Dustbin. It
is a combination of the Recycle Dustbin and Transparent Dustbin that made the Dustbin have
both benefits. In order to make sure this invention is can attract user to use it well for separate
garbage, multiple color and transparent board used. Meanwhile, to avoid uncluttered garbage
made by animal, the food waste is hide from visual and smell.
Idea development

To idealize this invention, the design is a combination of Recycle dustbin and transparent dustbin
created a new product design which called 4R Dustbin.

We identify that the Recycle dustbin can separate waste and give big benefits to the next process
of recycle. It is good for cutting the cost of separating the garbage at the dumping site and can be
recycled easily by the factory. The main disadvantages is, it is less effective because it does not
attract people to obey the rules that made by this Recycle dustbin. From these features that can
separate type of garbage needed to solve the problem in this project. From the Transparent
dustbin, it is more effective and attractive because the dustbin made design in transparent. But,
the disadvantage of this transparent dustbin is, it also attract animal to get some residual waste
from the bin and always uncluttered by animals or pet. From these features that can attract user
and effective type of dustbin needed to solve the problem in this project. The basic concepts of
these two products are combined to produce a new creation which will overcome the problem of
disadvantage of both products. In reaching the goal and solving this problem, the material use
can be attractive and transparent and the waste that will attract the animal will be hide from
visual and smell. This dustbin can also create fertilizer from the food waste because it separates
leachate and the organic matters.
