Contact Butt Fusion Technology
CNC Technology
The CNC fully automatic hydraulically-operated butt fusion machines are designed for
applications in the distribution industry for gas, water and drainage piping systems as
well as for use in the trench, at the construction sites and in the workshop.
The fusion parameters, such as material, diameter, wall thickness (SDR), are selected on
the display with a menu dialog. The CNC controller unit (SUVI 100) controls and re-
cords the fusion process according to the approved national guidelines (DVS guidelines,
etc.). After the preparation phase (planing, dragging force measurement, pipe alignment
check, cleaning procedure) the operator can start the automatic fusion cycle. The actual
step in the fusion process is continously displayed.
All fusion parameters (set/actual comparison) are recorded on a memory card and can
be recalled and shown on the display. An external fusion data processing is easy with
the exchangeable memory card or with the built-in interface for the PC or the printer.
