LOGO & DESCRIPTION:
The Letter R with wings is Saint Raphael the Archangel serves as the patron saint
of healing. Unlike most saints, Raphael was never a human being who lived on
Earth. Instead, he has always been a heavenly angel (wings). He was declared
a saint in honor of his work helping humanity.As one of God's leading
archangels, Raphael serves people who need to heal in body, mind, and spirit.
Raphael also helps people in health professions, such as doctors, nurses,
pharmacists, and counselors. The cross inside the letter R means life and healing.
Color green is known for its balanced healing properties; brings with it a sense of
hope, health, and renewal, as well as compassion, and harmony.

St. Raphael Medical Center is one of the nation’s leading urban medical
centers. It is a private training tertiary hospital that delivers safe quality and
effective medical services comprises a College of Medicine, College of Health
Related Professions, College of Nursing, School of Graduate Studies, and
University Hospital of Manila.
The quality of our education, research, and patient care programs was
confirmed with the awarding of the Nobel Prize in Medicine to Dr. Robert David,
a member of our School of Graduate Studies faculty since 2000.
Our facility is located at 30th street, Bonifacio Global City, taguig City,
Philippines. It is a 2-hectare private property that includes 2 buildings. 20,000
square meters of floor space and two building, which consist of 1000 bed
capacity. It has 15 floors in every building and joined by the bridge way and two
level basement parking accommodates over thousand vehicles. It is a 600 bed
capacity. The complex is equipped with a broad range of state-of-the-art
security features, an advanced building management system, and biosafety
features incorporated into sensitive patient areas thus serves as the hub for
network satellite hospital this include data to cloud situated at the US for back
up information, delivering a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services to
patients in Manila and selected provinces. St. Raphael Medical Center offers the
most advanced and comprehensive care in Manila.
Neuroscience/Neurology Service
Orthopedic-Rehabilitation
Our clinical units include a recently renovated state of the art 29 bed Neonatal
Intensive Care unit which is a regional referral center for premature babies and
newborns with medical/surgical problems. Our neonatal transport service
receives 4 ill newborns from neighboring hospital that require tertiary care. Our
nurses are highly trained in neonatal nursing and work within a collaborative and
cohesive atmosphere.
The Obstetrical unit features a four bed ante partum testing unit, nine
Labor/Delivery Recovery rooms, three bed observation area, 2 operative
delivery rooms and one post anesthesia care unit. In addition, we have a seven
bed triage unit which treats patients with obstetrical medical surgical
emergencies. Our thirty three bed rooming in Mother-Baby unit promote 24 hour
access to family bonding. The nurses in the obstetrical service are highly skilled
and are able to care for challenging high risk patients who require intricate
care.
Medicine
The Medical service consists of two units: a thirty seven bed a thirty three bed
unit and a Ten bed telemetry designated for cardiac patients. Patients on these
units have diagnoses related to: cardiac, dermatology, endocrine,
gastrointestinal, respiratory, infectious, oncology and pulmonary disorders.
Oncology
The Oncology Service consists of eighteen beds. Patients on this unit receive
Chemotherapy. All nurses are specially trained to provide safe and competent
care to these patients.
Emergency Department
Our Emergency Department experiences over 60,000 visits per year. Our fast
track system cares for patients with minor emergencies while our acute care
area focuses on patients with life threatening problems. Our expanding
pediatric emergency center cares for neonates to young adults. Our nurses are
certified in Trauma nursing, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support
and Pediatric Advance Life Support.
Surgery The surgical service encompasses an eighteen bed surgical acute unit
and a four bed Step down unit for intensive monitoring.
Our cardiac and vascular center provides inpatient and ambulatory services
which include cardiovascular surgery, vascular surgery, interventional vascular
surgery, interventional cardiology and interventional radiology and non invasive
cardiology. Our Cardiac Catheterization suite encompasses a five bed acute
post procedure suite and an eight bed recovery area. Our Interventional
radiology has two areas designated for interventional procedures which include
angioplasty/angiograms studies, nephrostomy and dialysis procedures. Our Post
Interventional Recovery Room provides 14 beds for pre and post care. Critical
Care
The critical care service encompasses four specialized areas. A nine bed
Cardiothoracic intensive care unit cares for immediate post open heart and
post kidney transplant surgical patients and our seven bed Coronary Care unit
cares for patients recovering from myocardial infarction, and other cardiac
vascular disorders. In addition, a ten bed Medical Intensive Care unit cares for
patients with medical surgical complications requiring intensive monitoring and
an eight bed transitional Step down Cardio thoracic unit (CPCU) cares for
patients who are stabilized and require continuous monitoring.
Our state of the art Ambulatory Kidney Dialysis center serves all adults and
pediatric acute and chronic renal failure patients who require hemodialysis.
Twenty stations are designated for adult patients and 4 stations are designated
for pediatric patients. We have a nine bed inpatient hemodialysis unit, and two
bed pediatric unit for acute hemodialysis 6 patients who are unstable. Our
sixteen bed inpatient transplant service cares for stabilized postoperative kidney
transplant patients and other surgical patients.
Perioperative
The ambulatory care suite focuses on prevention, wellness and treatment for
patients in the community. Our health care team sees an average of over one
thousand patients a day in the medical, surgical, pediatric, asthma, obstetrics
and gynecology, dermatology, transplant, urology, ophthalmology, otology,
oncology suites. Our nurses are highly trained in community health nursing and
provide continuous care as they work with multitude of patients with diverse
health conditions. Employees in the following areas/positions may be required to
be licensed nurses due to the nature of the position, but do not deliver nursing
care as defined by St. Raphael Medical Center:
