STEP 2. EVALUATE THE INFORMATION

What did your RIASEC code tell you about your preferences?

My RIASEC results suggest close to even preferences for artistic, conventional and social
activities. The enterprising element is practically nonexistent. The artistic and
conventional are incongruent, as mentioned above.

To express this, finding a creative outlet such as design and applying some structure to it
for the conventional spirit would be ideal. I think a natural history guide, providing
information to visitors would be fulfilling.

What did your MBTI type tell you about your preferences?

My MBTI type suggests I’m introverted yet expressive. I prefer to do a lot of creative work
alone, yet as ‘The Healer’ (Truity) I exude compassionate and sympathetic idealism.
This sounds like an activist position, or as suggested by Truity, a patron of the arts. 1
Another thing Truity says about INFP is that it is the personality type most likely to stay at
home with their children.

What further information would be helpful to learn about the careers that reflect your patterns of interests and
personality characteristics?

It would be helpful to learn if the types and assessments are thought to be a constant or
change as a persons life experiences and life roles progress.

It would also be helpful to look at the lifestyle associated with each occupation, to see
if it is sustainable according to the personality type.

Job forecast and expected income are also important considerations.
