3. Layout Cables from GNSS & VHF Antenna (Above Deck) to the Transceiver Unit (Below Deck)
Note: (In interconnecting of PL-259 to the VHF wire, follow the procedure in the manual with
precautions because it is the main reason of NOT having TX or RX)
5. Configure the vessel identification and settings on the AIS Transceiver Unit
6. Check detection of other vessels within the specified range (up to 48 nautical miles)
8. Install Junction Box at least 1 meter from the Transceiver Unit to allow routing of Cables from Equipment to
be interfaced to AIS. (not necessarily needed if the other units are from other supplier)
