A. GENERAL NOTES
The parts list may require additional information to clarify them. The notes in this section are gen-
erally applicable to the whole range of products.
Other notes are specific and note numbers may appear on the parts list either above the description
or in place of the part number of the item concerned. These notes are detailed in the Special Notes
section.

1. Abbreviations used in the parts lists:


AR: As Required.
Used where there is a choice of part numbers or quantity depending on assembly or test require-
ments. Where indicated refer to specific notes. Where no specific reference is made in the parts list
refer to workshop manual or test plan.
K/M: Kit Marker.
Under this heading, items that appear in service kit (to be found at the end of the parts lists) are
marked with ¤ for overhaul components, and * for boost control components.
X: Sub-assembly.
The letter X in front of a description indicates a sub-assembly.

B. SPECIAL NOTES
This section contains information where necessary to clarify the parts list. The note number will
appear in either the qty or part number column and may apply to more than one pump.

Select the required shim to give the necessary clearance from the following list:

NOTE 52: Assembled Mid-housing and Piston

MOD 1
Unmodified pumps (see nameplate) require that when replacing the assembled mid-housing and
piston, part no. 7240-23 (LSN 1), the advance stop plug, part no. 7187-131A (LSN 23), must also be
changed.
After this modification the nameplate must be stamped ‘MOD 1’ after the DSA No. to identify this
change; future replacement/repair may be made to either part individually.

NOTE 53: Advance Lock-off Components

MOD 2
Unmodified pumps (see nameplate) require that the following components MUST be replaced
together:

14 Seat, ball 7187-039A
16 Spring, outer 7187-056B
19 Plug 7187-038A

After this modification the nameplate must be stamped ‘MOD 2’ after the DSA No. to identify this
change; subsequent replacements may be made individually.

NOTE 54: Assembled Front-housing

MOD 3
Unmodified pumps (see nameplate) require that when replacing the assembled front-housing, part
no. 7187-077A (LSN 41), it is necessary to order an additional spring, part no. 7123-294C (LSN 60A).
After this modification the nameplate must be stamped ‘MOD 3’ after the DSA No. to identify this
change; subsequent replacement/repair may be made independently.
