I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

 Define action words


 Determine the use of verbs and
 Participate actively in the discussion

III. Instructional Procedure:
A. Preliminary Activities

1. Drill
Flashcards and let the pupils read the following words.
2. Review
- Past lesson about demonstrative pronoun
3. Motivation
- Do you have a favorite Cartoon Character?
- Who is your favorite Cartoon Character?
- Teacher shows a picture of cartoon Character.
B. Developmental Activities
1. Presenting the lesson
The teacher read and discusses the story - Story about “The outer space adventure of
Phineas and Ferb”.
- Did you understand the story?
- Who are the Characters of the story?
- Where did they go?
- What did they do in the moon?
- What do Phineas and Ferb does first in the moon, when they arrived?
- What are the activities they do all over the moon?
Do you have any idea what of word do we use to describe an action or being.
2. Performing Activities
Let the pupils do the following activities into two groups.
1. What did you do when you’re sad?
2. What did you do when you see something funny?
3. What did you do when you’re in a hurry?
4. What did you do when you see a book?
5. What did you do when you’re hungry?

3. Processing the Activities


Let each group present their outputs. They can work with their members.

4. Reinforcing the Concept


Pupils will answer the following. They can work by partners. Underline the
appropriate verb to complete each sentence.

1. Maine (jumps, walks) to school every day.


2. The dog always (eats, barks) at strangers.
3. Grace (rides, runs the jeepney) to school.
4. The varsity players (pray, play) basketball every afternoon.
5. My mother (washes, cooks) her favourite dish every Sunday.

6. Application
We are going to play a pantomime into two groups. All you have to do is to act in
front without words by using body movements and Facial expressions.
