Court of Appeals to pause its lawsuit challenging the legality of an Obamacare subsidy program, a move that could allow the incoming Trump administration to quickly unwind the health care law. Delaying the lawsuit, House v. Burwell, would allow Trump's administration to decide whether it ‘wants to continue the Obama administration's defense of Obamacare's cost-sharing subsidies. If the Trump administration were to decide to stop defending Obamacare, the cost-sharing, subsidy payments to health insurers may end. That's because a lower court had already ruled that the health care law didn't properly fund the subsidies. If the subsidies stopped, health insurers may be allowed to almost immediately pull their insurance plans from the exchanges. That could force millions off their health insurance and destabilize the Obamacare exchange market early next year.
