easier. However the practice should continue everymoment and the unfolding
impressions laid on the mind during the course of Sadhana should be subdued
forth with".
Sri Radhajis Hladini Shakthi (power of Divine Ecstacy) has controlled the minds
of all 'Gopis' in the Madan Mohan Mohini Leela. Further it has not only dissolved
the outward (prakrithic) Kama Shakthi (Power to create sensuous desirliness) of
Manmadha but aroused within him a deep yearning for Sri Krishna. Such is the

intensity of Grace of Radhaji.
'Karmanam Bhogatho Nasyeth' unless one experiences one's Karma (result of
actions) it will not be neutralised. Here there are two aspects 1. Removal of
Karma 2. Effacement or elimination of impression of Karma (Karmavasana).
These are not easy things. Maharshi "Soubhari or Rajarshi Viswamithra were not
small beings. Their Tapas of thousands of years could not efface the Vishaya
vasana (impression of worldly desires) In such a case what about small beings
like us ? How can we transcend to higher planes. But we need not get perturbed.
The incessant Radha Dhyanyoga dissolves the 'Karma' comprehensively and
leads him to higher planes of consciousness.

he went into a temple one his way. He peeped through the doors of the temple
and saw a beautifully decorated marble idol of Radha Devi. Due to the Sankalpa

'Shyamaji'. No one can ever predict whom Radhaji would choose as Her devotee.
The moment he partook the prasad of Radhaji, a new light entered into his body
and mind. His mind was completely attracted to the Name and Form of Sriji.
Without reason his eyes were shedding tears. He could not leave the 'Shyama'
Name even for a moment. Remaining silent in a corner of his house the boy
fondly recited the Nam (Name). His mother surprised at the strange ways her son
and asked him "Why do you chant this new name, Rehman ? Did you forget Allah
? If your father knows about this, he won't remain silent like me. He won't leave
you without giving a strong punishment", cautioned the mother. Meanwhile the
father himself arrived and saw the strange behaviour of his boy, "Where from did
yo acquire this Kafir's name Re, "saying so, the father started beating the boy.
"Please leave him. He will stop it soon. Don't beat him any more" mother
restrained the angry father. Without sleeping that night even a moment the boy
continuously chanted the name 'shyama' 'shyama', and stayed outside of the
house throughout night.
Very next day the father had taken the boy to the mullah (Muslim Teacher) He
saw Rehman engrossed in recitation. Chanting ... Shyama.. Shyama "He is in the
grip of a spirit with four whips everything will be set right. On hearing these
words, the father himself started beating the boy. Mullah also beaten him.
Rehman didn't even weep for a minute inspite of heavy beating, nor did he try to
escape from that place. And never paused the chanting of 'Shyama' Nam "Don't
give him food, any more" Mirja Saheb warned his wife and went away.
Mother had held the hand of the boy and took him inside. She felt aghast as she
saw the wounds on his body. "You are my only child Rehman. At least for my
satisfaction chant 'Allahoo" she said weeping. But the child gave this reply. 'I
cannot leave this Name even for a minute, Mother. This is coming out from my
inside. It is giving me great happiness, Amma? I cannot live without Shyama
Nam. What can I do ? Even if I were beaten for long, even If I were not given
food, I cannot leave Shyama's Name. Even if I were killed, I cannot leave this
Name. I will remain a Kafir (low caste person). I get great pain when I leave this
Sweet Name even for minute. Only due to this reason I cannot chant 'Allahoo'
Amma. Even as I close my mouth the Name is heard from within. Though I didn't
take food I am not stale or hungry mother. I am not getting sleep at night. I do not
know what will happen next moment" saying so Rehman wept for sometime.

In Vrindavan there are several traditions of Devotional Love. Sri Syamananda

Gradually his devotional fervour got intensified and reached the pinnacle. He

Radharani herself. He carefully tied it in his angavastra (the shoulder garment)

5 Divine message to readers MAt the Sri Nikunja while Sri Radha was relaxing after Ras Leela, Lalitha Sakhi
watching the feet of Sriji said, 'Devi, why does your anklet is not seen" Sakhi,
replied Sri Radhaji, we have come by the side of Shyamananda's Asram. It night
have fallen there. Please go there personally and bring it back. said Sri Kishori
sweetly.
At the instance of Sriji Lalitha Sakhi assumed the form of a Vraj woman and
came to the Ashram of Syamananda. "Syamananda, my daughterinlaw went
past your ashram yesterday. She missed her golden anklet somewhere here. You
might have got that one. Please give it back" asked Sri Lalitha Sakhti.
Syamananda replied. His face was replete with amazement." Is your daughterin
law so great, Do you think that the ornament is an ordinary one.
With its touch or sight itself I get inexplicable Divine Happiness. I am sure it
doesn't belong to your daughterinlaw". Forthwith, Lalitha Sakhi gave him the
darsan of her real form (Nijaroopa). Syamananda prostrated before her. "I am
blessed amma with your Darsan". He continued, 'Unless I see the person whom
this anklet belongs to, I cannot give it back Amma "Shyamananda humbly
confessed her. And Lalithaji disappeared. Lalitha Sakhi narrated the happening at
Syamananda Kunj to Radhaji.
Pleased by the devotion of Syamannada, Radhaji intended to personally visit
Syamananda's Kunji. With the Divya Darsan of Hari vallabha, quivered
Syamananda wept for a long time. Even at this juncture he did not forget the goal
of his life Sri Yugal Darsan. He prostrated before Sriji and said He! Radhe, 'I am
elevated' and continued with humble voice. 'Sri Radha cannot be without Krishna.
But the Vrindavana chandra (the moon of Vrindavan) is not here" Amma". Sri
Radhaji, the ocean of Compassion, has conferred the darsan of Sri Krishna.
Looking at Syamananda, Syama Sundar said "He Radhe your devotees are very
mischievous". Radhaji replied "He wanted your 'darsan' also". That is why I asked
you to come here". While saying so Radhaji asked Syamananda to give back her
anklet.
Blessed with his ultimate destination the Syamananda's body, mind and soul
passionately looking for the touch of Radhaji. Somehow controlling his mind for
the currents of Divine Ecstacy, he prayed "Amma, I wear this anklet to see
whether it befits you'. She kept her feet inaccessible even to Brahma, Rudra,
Narada and the like, upon the thigh of Shamananda. What a great fortune
Syamananda had the Feet that were carefully adorned by Sri Krishna were right
in his lap. While tears of Divine Love rolling on his cheeks, in a strange Divine
Bhav, Syamanda bent forward to adorn the anklet. Next moment he was
immersed in Bhava Samadhi and when conscious no one was there around.

3 Sarweswari Sri Radha Divya Darsan, the Guru cried 'Amma Radhe, Radhe, is it you Amma, is it you
....and fell unconscious.

Next moment Syamananda became ecstatic and ran into the streets of Vrindavan
3.3 Madan Mohini Leela loudly crying.. Shyama, Shyama... .Many residents of Vraj chased him.
Syamananda sometime later jumped into the pond Shyamkund.

4 How to attain grace of Sri Subsequent to the most sacred life of Syamananda, Syamananda Tradition
Radha Parameswari became famous in Vrindavan. A temple Radha Syamsundar was built there. Shri

Jeeva (the being) has born in this world not to enjoy the earthly pleasures but to
serve the Divine. This is the message graced by Sriji through the life of Gulab
baba.
We have to spread the name of mother, Her paramountcy and uniqueness and
follow the principles of living graced by Her. Accordingly we have to offer our very
lives to Her service. We have to earnestly lookout for serving the needy like Sriji
herself anxiously awaits to bestow Her Grace upon the devotee.
The only aim and ambition of life of Gulab Baba is 'when I cannot serve Sri
Radhaji on that day there should not be any food for me. That day I do not
deserve to take any meal'. So intense was his singlemindedness and
steadfastness of devotion towards Radhaji's service. This is his secret of life.
The life of the author of this book has been continuing in the path of Divine
Service. He offers his services to about 60 to 70 people everyday. Some visit him
to get relief from chronic ailments. He makes them healthy by the grace of
Radhaji. Some even approach him to traceout their missing children. He tells
their whereabouts and satisfy them. Few others complain that they could not get
jobs inspite of rigorous search. He explains them about the necessity of 'Dhyan'
and teaches about the way of practicing 'Dhyan'. Many times he receives phone
calls from ailing persons from four corners of the world. Through phone itself he
cures their indisposition. In this way many people get relieved from different
problems and attain peace by the grace of Radhaji.
A devotee who followed this principle of Divine Service has born in Vrindavan. He
is Gulab baba. Gulab baba's wife passed away. He adopted a girl child of 8 to 9
years and was rearing her as his own daughter. Gulab baba was an exponent of
instrument Sitar, besides he was an expert dancer also. He used to impart his
knowledge of music and dance freely. He alongwith daughter Radha used to visit
a few houses of Vrajavasis (Residents of Vraj) and recite the 'Radha Nam'. The
residents used to give bread and sweets to him. Never did he part with devotion
nor at any point of time he was a beggar. "The human has come to this world not
for feeding himself even by resorting to begging. His aim should not be physical
nourishment. But the nourishment of Soul. The continuous service of Mother of
Souls (Mother of universes) the embodiment Rasa Sri Radha Devi, is our duty.
When you don't offer your Service to Sriji on that day you are not eligible to take
food. Mother's Seva means to surrender all your energies, talents for the
pleasure of 'amma' If you are a singer use your talent of singing for the happiness
of Radhaji. Do not sell it to anyone. The reason behind all your powers is only
Radhaji. Hence it is but your duty to utilise your talents and powers for her
pleasure. Without Divine Service the Jeeva has no right to live on the Earth. "In
this way Gulab Baba used to profess about the philosophy of Service. He
inculcated this philosophy of Service in the mind of his foster daughter too. He
very well taught her both music and dance. Both used to live by partaking the
offerings of Vrajvasis and by drinking the holy waters of 'abhisheka'. While he
was singing melodiously Radhe.. Radhe... in front of sanctum of Sriji on the top of
Barsana Hill, daughter Radha used to dance beautifully for the pleasure of
'Radhaji'. She used to immerse in this musical dancing leaving aside all outer
thoughts. This was the daily service of Gulab baba. This was his life and this was
his meditation.
One day the elders of the Temple said, "Baba, your daughter has grown up. It
doesn't look nice to see her dancing at this age. Find a suitable match for her. Do
not worry about marriage. We will bear all the expenses". They married his
daughter to a suitable groom and sent her to the groom's house. Since that day
Baba became alone. "My daughter has gone to her inlaw's house. No one is
here to dance according to my singing. The service of music and dance to
Radhaji is interrupted. I cannot take food now. I won't live any more"Gulab baba
lamented. He used to weep silently keeping his head upon the steps of the
temple. Thus three days elapsed. He conveyed his difficulties to Radhaji "Amma,
your service is my life. The day I don't serve you, I have no right to live here. For
the last three days I didn't serve you and I didn't have food". That was blazing
mid summer. Gulab baba was extremely old. He was emaciated due to lack of
food for three days. It is a fact that he will not live much longer. Sri Radhaji is not
only all pervading, but also extremely compassionate. "Alas, my devotee gave up
food as he did not offer service to me. He is very old and this is hot summer. If I
remain neutral he will die. A person's next birth is decided according his state of
mind at the of leaving his body. This is my rule. If Gulab leaves the body now he
will only beget a birth filled with sorrow. My devotees should happily leave for
Eternal Blissful State. This is my decision, my religion. Baba is in grief now. I
Should change his grief into devotional ecstacy. Because he is in my prema
bhakthi (Devotional love) I will have to personally take him to my abode. Now, I
have only one alternative. I shall have to assume the form of his daughter who
left for her motherinlaw's house. I will dance like her while he is watching me.
Anyhow, this is the last day of his life". Contemplating this way Radhaji out of Her
will assumed the form of Radha (daughter' name) and came out of sanctum of
the Temple.

d. Maharaja Kula Chandra
Kula Chandra established the Kingdom of Manipur. He was a great devotee of Sri
Radhaji. He used to immerse in her service. "Mother is with me. Whatever work I
do, it is watched by Her. The service of mankind is the service of Divine Mother."
This is the philosophy followed by the King.

"Mother is not before us. We do not know Her Abode. But I am in the presence of
Sriji. She observes whether I perform my duties or not. The only desire, the only
goal of my life is 'living for the pleasure of Mother. Whether she likes this work ?
Whether she likes my comment ? Whether she affirms this thought?" Thus we
should attach our body, mind and speech with Her presence. This is called Self
Surrender. Service of Mother by surrender is noblest of all services. She doesn't
want better service from us than selfsurrender. Accordingly the body, mind ad
speech of Kulachandra followed the path of service of Radhaji. That is why his
life has been a role model for entire world.
No devotion is greater than Surrender. Devotion is not mere chanting the Divine
name with different instruments. Nor it is to mutter the name with chains of basil
beads. Divine Mother herself professed about the devotion of Selfsurrender.

Tath sukhe na sukhithyVam
